First of all I am not a picky person I'm the person that says you get what you pay for but I have to be honest the room didn't seem to be very clean or even cleaned at all and I'm still wondering if the sheets were ever changed. I didn't care for the mold on the shower curtain or standing in 5 inches of water while I was taking a shower. The bathroom floor was filthy and I don't think nobody swept it or mopped it there was something on this chair that I was going to sit in but it wasn't even wipe down there is a inch-and-a-half gap between the door n outside. The sheets on the bed had some type of stain on it and they were ripped thank God I'm smart and took an extra blanket with me and just slept on top of that. I did like the fact that the bathroom and the room was updated except for the television and if you don't search for the refrigerator you will never find it ,it is located inside the TV cabinet it had no microwave at all so that made a inconvenience. There was three little bars of soap but there was no shampoo no hair dryer. Antique television but it worked. The heater definitely works in this place but unfortunately with the Gap in the door it would get so hot and then once you turned it down it would be freezing cold so it was really hard to get comfortable. If you're going to stay here make sure you bring something to shove underneath the gap in the door. The maids are extremely extremely nice they are so friendly and I'm sure if you ever need anything you would just ask and they would bring it to you.

Ok too start my review off you get what you pay for. This place is located right in Gettysburg. Very close too the fields and cemetery. The price is amazing you can't beat it. I also like supporting small businesses. Yes the rooms are extremely outdated. They do not have microwaves or coffee machines in them. The walls are old & have funky paint jobs, holes in the headboards, old tvs that only get some channels. The bathroom window is pretty shoddy and I don't think it opens. The beds are hard and covered in plastic. The light outside the window at night kinda shines all around the curtain in room. Leaving the room slightly illuminated all night. We also found a empty can and a old diabetic testing strip behind our TV stand. The pool looked dirty and I personally wouldn't swim in it. Would I let my kids get in and swim if I brung them . Sure why not kids don't care. Given all that the hotel bathroom appeared clean. I checked for bed bugs and found none. I would definitely recommend staying here. Like I said previously you get what you pay for. This isn't no Ritz. We came here too site see. We didn't spend much time in our room. Also with all the money we saved in lodging we had that much more too spend on shopping and dinning out, museums & whatever else. All pros in my book. The office has a microwave you can use and free hot coffee. If you go to the office early enough in the am they have complimentary muffins and honeys buns .

Great location...poor service and quality. This place is in a great location, right in the heart of downtown but that's about the only positive to the motel. There was definitely mold in one if our rooms and the smell was very off-putting. Our room, which was significantly in need of a deep cleaning and upgrade, had a very old tube television, which doesn't hold much value to my review as we really only use a room to sleep but I think it's worth noting as others may be disappointed. There was a working fridge in the room which was useless but no coffee maker, microwave or hair dryer available. The office did offer complimentary coffee but I don't believe it was refreshed or cleaned very often, so wouldn't recommend. The attendant was friendly but was definitely more interested in talking to their coworkers, playing with their phones or really anything else than to get up or come to the desk. There is a pool available and free off street parking. If you need a safe place to sleep for the night on a budget, this place will suffice. Just lower your expectations and hope for a clean room! We had rooms 17 and 18.

2 day stay with a buddy from out of town. We got the room cheap online because elsewhere was booked solid. Room was decent looking. Full bath, working ac, cable TV, best of all: location right in town with every place in walking distance. Onto the bad things: toilet in bathroom was not tightened down properly, sitting on it was a roller coaster of worry, the toilet started leaking on our 2nd night and we had to place a towel on the floor. Shower head placement: if you're over 5 foot tall, wait to shower at home, shower head is at chest level. Beds were made properly, however my bed had a bedspread that was not washed or bleached: found 4 random spill stains on the blanket underneath. Pillows: bring your own, these pillows are for toddlers. Biggest let down for those seeking internet: very poor wifi signal. Our room was located right where a wifi extender was placed at outside, yet many times when connecting, it would either not connect or feel like 90s dial up speed, if my laptop had a dial up connection, I would've unplugged the phone and old schooled AOL. while relaxing outside, we took note to a random personal riding a bike in the parking lot when the owners father told the individual to pull his pants up, there are guests here, the person took offense and began arguing with the old man, his wife and daughter in the open area near the lobby. As we watched this matter unfold, guests who were arriving turned around and left. Turned out this random stranger was drunk and was friends with the maintenance man. Also, if you look for continental breakfast, shop around. All you get from the lobby is coffee and a honey bun, muffin, or Danish. It is also said by some this location is basically a halfway house for some drug addicts, and it shows. The place was not packed at all, but due to poor reviews and experiences, I see why. If you can, book in advance somewhere else. The colton was an experience...

Knew going in that this would not be a 5 star experience, however not worth the low price we paid. Went into the office to check in and noone was there Had to wait 5 minutes for someone to show up to check us in. The girl who checked us in was very nice, but forgot to take my payment at checkin, so had to knock on our door as we were settling in, so I had to walk back to the office with her to pay. The sink in our bathroom DID NOT WORK. It did not turn on or off, just a small, slow stream of water constantly, which was useless. We used bottled water to brush our teeth in the morning, however did not call the office to complain, which was a mistake.... Also the beds were so uncomfortable. Between the constant sound of running water and feeling like we were laying on wood planks, my friend and I barely got any sleep. At checkout, I walked to the office to return my key. Again, noone there. Just a sign that said "i am out of the office, but on the property. Please call this number and someone will be here shortly". Called the number, which was the motel number, 3 TIMES with no answer, so I left my key on the counter and went on to the rest of my vacation activities. Called the number back about an hour later to ensure my key had been received, and that I would not have additional charges. The man who answered (i assume the owner) then inquired about the broken sink faucet, attempting to accuse us of breaking it, and saying he had gotten no complaints about it before. He eventually gave up accusing, saying "oh, its ok" and i then hung up. Will be staying elsewhere on future visits...
