My daughter and I had made an appointment to get our nails done, During this Covid-19 time service businesses should be especially clean and sanitary, not this place. This place was NOT USING NEW nail files This is a sure way to spread disease. Also my nail tech was rude, unfriendly and slightly hostile. I did not say anything during the session because I did not want to ruin my daughters appointment. Come to find out she had a horrible experience as well. During her session, her tech was on personal phone calls and was also very unfriendly. We were not seated together so I did not know she was also having a bad experience, otherwise we both would have left. Needless to say I am disputing this charge and will be reporting this place to the health department. There are so many reputable and clean nail salons in Lakewood/.Denver, don't waste your time or money here.
My response to owner: It is unfortunate that you did not take the time to contact me to hear my side of the story (my phone number was left when I made the appointment) because you would have been informed that the technician that worked with my daughter was answering business calls AND also took 3 personal calls. The technician that worked with me used a nail file with nail filing residue (used /not sanitized) when done filing my nails he promptly placed that along with the nail drilling tool back in the drawer of his workstation, NOT in the sanitation machine. There was not a misunderstanding, he was purposely hostile, when my daughter and I were in the process of paying (which I will dispute) I had verbalized the fact that I thought he was rude and they I would not return, his reply back to me was NOT an apology, it was another curt statement of " I don't care if you to come back!" . This wasn't the only short/curt response I received during my time there. I have worked in the service industry myself and always make it a point to be friendly and kind because I KNOW that working with the public can be difficult at times. I also tip well because I appreciate good service, it is unfortunate that experiences like this can ruin a persons day. It is even more unfortunate when business owners do not take the time to do their own research and get both sides of the story, they would clearly find out that sometimes people they employ do not follow protocol and do not represent the company...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to love this place. I had a nail tech I saw every time and she was amazing. Unfortunately, she left and now I get someone new every time I go in and they are one worse than the other. Today I picked out a color that was an iridescent blue. What the tech did not tell me was that it actually doesnāt come out that way on your nails unless you have blue under it. Had he told me that, I would have asked for blue under it because blue was specifically the color I was going for. It is my birthday and I really wanted blue to match the March birthstone. However, he started painting my nails white and then put this color over it and now all it looks like is a shiny white. I was very disappointed and asked why he didnāt tell me that and he basically just said oh I thought you knew. The time before I went here, my cuticles were very cracked from the cold weather. The tech started working on them and they were bleeding from her nicking the side with the Dremel. It bled the entire appointment, and all she could talk about was how bad my cuticles were and she even called other technicians over who started commenting on it also. I donāt need to be insulted at my local nail salon. I will be finding somewhere else to go from now on. Now I also need to go to the store and buy a nail polish color I actually want and do my own nails after I just paid for them to get done. The tech was also working on someone else at the same time as me today and it was close to closing time so I felt like he just rushed through the entire job and was focused on getting the other person done also so he could leave by closing. I wonāt pay a bunch of money for a shoddy, rushed job; I expect more for what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have gone to Expo Nails for a good while and loved my manis each time but after my last visit, last weekend, I was pretty frustrated and now my nails continue to chip and peel away. The woman who worked on my nails rushed, and at the end when she was finished, they were already peeling away, even though I asked her many times about it during the service, which she ignored. Then when I showed them to someone, she came back and was very rude about having to redo them, they looked great afterwards, but it's not cool that it took two times for them to look decent and not bubbled on the side of the finger nails. I'll give them another chance but the service before this was a bit lackluster too (brought a friend and the same woman that did my nails this last round did hers a few weeks ago, and she had the same issue with peeling and bubbling) I truly hope that now since they are getting busy with increased capacity that this isn't the new standard because I do love this place, but won't be keeping it as my go to if this continues. Also, please listen to your customers, if we say we're not happy while the service is going and early to catch a fix, don't ignore us and then be rude and have to start all over. Your time is valuable and so is mine, I don't want to keep you for hours when you're busy, but don't treat customers poorly because you're busy...
