Let me start with Yes, it's not a new mega store, and the aesthetics are a bit lacking BUT it makes up in many other ways! First is MEATS! Carlie's has awesome meats and prices. I almost always get meats here because it's very affordable, fresh and a big variety. Especially hamburger meat! They have the pick 5 and also other meat bundles to choose from. There's a seafood section as well. The next thing that impresses me with this store is.....the non-food items! Yes, I get all my food storage containers here! There's a section as you walk in the store that is full of $1 items and they are not bad! Wash cloths, dish cloths, gloves, socks, brooms, whatever! Then over by the coldcuts is a few aisles of food storage bowls, plates, containers. All different sizes and shapes. I have bought so many of these because most are just a dollar and if you loose one...you are not out that much! They are pretty durable actually and I have some that are several years old. Now, take it over to the health and beauty section. They have lots of value priced OTC meds, their shampoos and soaps are fairly priced and I LOVE the ladies in the pharmacy. They remember you, they treat you like friends and they are always quick! I am giving this store a 4/5 because I always enjoy my trips there but some items I can find...

I bought a takeout meal from this local store for my families Thanksgiving meal. My husband went to pick up the dinner. Unfortunately it was not what I was expecting. The turkey was juicy and tender. The ham was also well cooked. The stuffing was delicious. My problem was that a hole had been punched in the bottom of the green beans container and it was not wrapped so the juices spilled all over everything. We had to clean the containers and meats before sitting down for dinner. My Thanksgiving Dinner was not enjoyed by my family. The store generously compensated me with another dinner. I order fried chicken rather than turkey. This meal was did not seem to be cooked by a professional. The cook did a poor job. The chicken was not tasty at all. I pride myself in knowing when chicken taste good.This was not. It was salty, dry and overcooked. My family would not eat it. The dressing which is my personal favorite during Thanksgiving was Not like the one served on the previous day. There seemed to be some kind of sauce or juice added to it but it tasted and smelled awful. I have bought food at this store on many occasions and so has my church when preparing food for an event but none has ever been like these...

If you need anything at a reasonable price, this is the place for you. There's fresh mest, a small kitchen (you can order in advance for big events), fruits & vegetables, flower center, general household items, snacks, frozen foods, lottery tickets, and alcoholic beverages. Has a male and female restroom. Well in general tidy, it is fairly old and vintage. The cashiers are very competent, friendly, and moderately fast. Signs hung on the ceiling indicate the items in the rows, and even if then there are plenty of stockers that can help you. Sales and IGA products are announced on the intercom semi-regularly. Sales are brandished in the front of the store and a section in the back right of the store has plenty of cheap items. In general a good store but has some selection issues and some name brand loyalists maybe disappointed due to it but overall it'll get you what you need and a...
