The store is clean, the workers are generally friendly, and their biggest perk for me, they're open until midnight (I do miss them being 24 hours though). There is one thing they seem to have an issue with; young kids going there just to "hangout" and play "games".
I'm a night owl, so do all my shopping and errands in the evening hours, which happens to also be when teens are looking for something to do. I'm all for kids doing things that keep them out of trouble and if this means just going to a store that's open late to pass time, that's fine by me. But it's when their games begin affecting mine and others, shopping experience, that I believe management should take action.
I've been hit with 2 balls before and had something I'm not going to say on here, whispered, but loud enough for me to hear, when I was in the same aisle with them. These things make me feel extremely uncomfortable. So much so, I've simply foregone getting what I needed in certain aisles because there is a group of kids just hanging out in it.
I feel like such a "Karen" complaining about this, but I'm an honest person, sometimes to a fault, so wish to share only my true, personal, opinion.
I've also had some unpleasant interactions at the pharmacy, and a few issues with my online pickup orders, but Meijers customer service has always done a fabulous job, rectifying any...
Read moreYesterday (March 13) I went to this store with my friend looking for a certain pokĂ©mon set that at the moment, is very hard to find. On our way to the pokĂ©mon aisle, we saw the box that we had been in search of for WEEKS at a retail price. Inconveniently, there was a group of teenagers a couple aisles down that were playing with a bouncy ball. One man that worked there started screaming at what seemed like the top of his lungs for them to get out of the store for from what I could tell was just bouncing a ball. He then looked over at my friend and I because we are also teenagers and yelled at us too. We had not done anything except be in a similar age range as the other group. He then escorted us out, right before we could get the set (Champions Path ETB) we were after and told us that if we came back he would call the Grafton Police. I would like some sort of compensation for this experience or the pokĂ©mon set that we had been looking for as some sort of compensation for that experience. Unluckily, I did not see his name so I cannot say who was responsible for this but if you are reading this you know this was you because my friend specifically said, â We didnât do anything man, we were just looking for some pokĂ©mon cards.â Which the employee replied with, âI donât care, get out...
Read moreI shop every week or two at the Meier in Grafton. There are some items I like to get there. But this week I had a really bad experience. I picked up (3) 24 packs of ice mountain water because they were on sale for $2.99. When I did self checkout they came up as $4.49 (the original price). I waved over an employee and he made a call to check on the price. He told me that only the Meier water was on sale. I thought that the sign must have gotten moved so I walked back to see. No, there was no Meier water on the pallet, just ice mountain. And the sign specifically said that âIce Mountain Waterâ was $2.99 and had not expired. So I took a picture of the sign and showed the clerk. He said that he couldnât help me out. So now I was mad! He did not really care to help me out. Clearly it was on sale but they had not entered the price in there system. As Iâm just getting ready to leave the whole cart of food and walk out, the store manager comes over to see whatâs going on. I explain the situation and he gives me it for $2.99. Iâm still mad about how I was treated. They almost lost a sale and a customer because the clerk was not trained how to handle the situation. Talk about poor...
