This is the first shop I tried to look at wedding gowns. My mom and I went in and explained that we were really new to the search and didn't know much yet about what I was looking for. Instead of feeling like I was being helped and learning about what I might need to know as I tried on dresses, I felt like Elyse was being subtly rude and condescending about our questions. My mom asked a question about the short sleeves on one dress and how short I might like my sleeves to be--shorter than the dress she meant--and Elyse gave her this disgusted sort of look and said "those wouldn't be sleeves, they would be straps." When we explained what I might like (cap-sleeves) she said "Yeah...that's not really in style anymore" with a sneer. Within the first part of our visit, I was so offended by the way that she was treating me and my mom that I didn't want to buy anything from her. The dresses we saw were beautiful, but the way she treated us was completely insulting and uncalled for, especially because she knew from the beginning that we were new to dress shopping and...
Read moreI never want to leave a bad review, but I have never been so disappointed. I am the Maid of Honor of the Bride, and she came to try on wedding dresses. Upon walking in, the woman helping us did not introduce herself and immediately seemed ticked off and annoyed. Along with myself and the bride, she had her other MOH, her mother, and her mother in law. She acted like we were not there and was NOT very friendly in general. As we all put a couple dresses we liked in the brides changing room for her, we learned that the person that was supposed to help us called off. And that the bride before us “must have tried on 60 dresses” and they were extremely behind. It definitely showed. The bride was rushed through trying on the dresses we all picked (we picked 4) she was not helped through putting the dresses on. She was handed the dress and that was it. It was EXTREMELY clear that this woman did not care, and it was made blatantly clear after she told the bride “Honey, next time, just bring your mother.” Needless to say, we won’t be...
Read moreWhen you tell a girl who comes in with money to buy a dress for PROM, and you tell her to eat a salad while your zipping up her dress. It is gonna cost you some bad reviews. Which ever employee said this should be ashamed of herself, and it is very unprofessional. You guys have no clue who she is but she could of gotten anything she wanted in the store but she comes from a nice family that even tho they could afford a $700 dress she chooses to stay around a $200 price range. Just for a simple fact that she know the value of money. Really hoping something is being done about this. Oh and there is nothing wrong with her body maybe you should teach your employees about body shaming and how not to do it because seems like they need a...
