I take all of my repairs and custom orders to Custom Jewelers! I love this place. Everyone is friendly and helpful every time I go in. Most recently, they made a custom piece for me that I am totally in love with. My grandmother had given me her vintage wedding rings, which I desperately wanted to wear, but my husband wanted me wearing the rings he gave me 23 years ago. We came to a compromise and I went to Custom Jewelers and had my diamonds set into my grandmother's rings. Her diamonds were smaller than mine so they had to do quite a bit of work, but they turned out beautifully and the results were just what I was expecting and requested. I’m writing this review because I came into his shop today trying to sell my gold & he would not buy it he wouldn’t even test it. He scratched it on the stone but wouldn’t put the acid on it for the results. I’m a Gemologist & Mineralogist so you can see how that is a slap in the face to me. I am black he is white but I was hoping that wouldn’t affect anything but it did. I said that is gold right there he said well we wouldn’t buy that you might need to go down the street or something because we wouldn’t buy that. Huge sign on window in caps saying WE BUY GOLD, gold is gold folks but I guess my gold just wasn’t shiny enough for him...

Honest and extremely customer-oriented. I came here to get my girlfriend's pearl necklace clasp fixed, and the lady at the counter was exceedingly friendly and helpful. I hadn't even bought it here, but she still took it back to the jeweler several times to get it repaired, showed me how to use it, and refused to take any payment. The process was about ten minutes because she didn't feel it was fixed to her standards, and again it was just a wonderful experience - it would have cost $35 (that I was willing to pay) to get it restrung, and she still insisted that they just repair it for me because it was the...
