Me and my significant other used to shop Nectar exclusively for the large selection and lower prices than others locally. However, one evening we had our digital scale out and decided to be silly and weigh out the extracts we had just received. We busted out the weights and calibrated the scale. We had empty containers from identical strains and checked them to see what the average weight of the same containers was (varied very little) and then used that as the tare. The moment of truth. Put the same container, same strain onto the scale. And it's read just over half a gram!
WHAT?? Okay I said let's try again. Another completely brand new "gram" of extract with the same container from the same brand, but a different strain and again! Near .6 of a gram. I believe these products do come pre packaged and if so I think they should talk to their farms. Because we have simply STOPPED going there and have been spending a little extra at Khaleafa who also has a tremendous selection of extracts with cheaper options if you want to go down a shelf.
Properly weighed product is like the oldest rule in the book. Shorting is shorting and a reputation ruiner. With the amount of times weve shopped here we would have technically been ripped off hundreds of dollars in product. And it has certainly taught me that just because they wrap it up in pretty packaging and tell you how much is there does NOT mean there is any reason to trust it. I now...
Read moreYou get a very complete and polished dispensary experience going to a Nectar but don’t go there expecting competitive pricing on any tier of flower. They have every kind of edible you can imagine, concentrates, a staff that knows their product fairly well and a pricing system designed to fit any budget and maximize profit. Nectar is a well ran business they’re just not competitive on the price of any tier of flower but they do a good enough job of creating the illusion that their pricing has moved with the market with their $2-$12 gram system. Which is fine until you do any amount of math. The $2 shelf is not on par with $20 half ounces available less than 20 minutes away and 2 times 14 is 28 the last time I checked. Go all the way up to the top shelf and you will find some of the absolute best flower you can buy in a dispensary but not at a competitive price so who cares? All dispensaries have access to this quality of flower some just sell it for cheaper leaving you more money to tip your bud...
Read moreThis Nectar seems to have lost touch with their original goals and cannabis purchasing experience. The first Nectar I visited was in Tillamook, I have also been to the one in Beaverton, Portland, and Milwaukie. Unfortunately, this location did not impress me like the others. I walked in and was not greeted, I looked around a bit confused because I didn't see any concentrates on display. I waited for about three minutes before I was finally greeted by a gentleman who had been standing at the empty register the whole time. Unfortunately, he didn't know the basic differences between concentrates and one point told me that "shatter and live rosin are used for different things". I moved past that but when I asked about some of the cheaper options he got a bit smug and answered with remarks like "you get what you pay for". Unfortunately one of the more negative experiences I have had at...
