The Bee's Knees — Local services in Groton

This is an adorable gift shop (at both location at both locations Downtown and at The Village) with a unique selection of gifts, wearables & novelties. I found both locations to have very friendly service (being from the South…Charlotte NC …that’s essential!) as well as everything is clean and well placed. The Village location has a larger selection but both are worth a visit. This is my 3rd year visiting this area and I make both locations a regular stop for that little something for family & friends alike. The lady in the downtown store was especially charming and provided suggestions of places to eat while I’m here. Having a small business of my own, this is another reason to shop local and value each other. I live in Rhode Island, but whenever I would go to Mystic, the Bee’s Knees downtown Would always be a shop I would go visit. I’ve made several purchases there and up until my last visit. I’ve always been very happy. A couple weeks ago I went in, tried on a dress and a jacket. I bought the dress and couldn’t decide on the jacket. When I got home, I realized I should’ve bought the jacket so yes, that was a mistake on my part. I called the store the following day only to be told that they would not ship me the jacket. Mind you they do have an online store so they do do shipping. Luckily the clerk gave me the name brand of the jacket and I was able to find it for $20 less than they were selling it for. Saw their ad on CT News today and called to find out about an item I saw. First call - answered and hung up. Must be a mistake? Tried again. Same result.
