Aloha everyone! This place I've been going to for a long time and the Queens Marketplace has decent restaurants, it used to have more of for the pandemic hit. Came here two years ago and they had a restaurant called Charlie's it was a Thai place that was really good but unfortunately they went out of business cuz I think the owner retired. Okay now about the grocery store, everybody has to remember that because prices are so high is because you're in a resort so they can charge whatever they want. We came in here this past 2 weeks and half a gallon of ice cream is 12$. Thomas Bagels are 13$, you don't always have to get the name brand. But there is sandwiches and they're already made up food is really good you can find a lot of reasonably decent priced merchandise, luggage, t-shirts, stuff for the kids or stuff for you. But you always have to remember when you are in a resort, they can charge whatever they want! If you want Bagels, get the ones in the bakery there's $6 versus 12. If you want cereal go up to Waikoloa Village they have a grocery store and almost half the time your stuff's on sale. This is my first review for the market and I do wish they would bring some more food options for the food court because when I came here 2 years ago every slot was filled with people & restaurants, what I really dont like is if you need a rashguard/boardshorts etc there is no place there that has them. Need them? Go to the King's Shops RIP CURL has what you need. Or if you're willing to take the 20 minute drive into Kona go to Safeway and you'll save a lot...
Read moreThis is your typical mall focusing on beachware from standard mainland available surf and skate companies. There are several specialty shops selling art and jewelry of which the quality isn't bad, but I wouldn't call it artisan or artist direct. These are the shops who can afford expensive public places.
A small grocery with primarily prepared foods, frozen stuffs and gifts is in this shopping center. Their selection is limited, and their prices are very high, but it is a convenient stop for guests of the neighborhood. They can fulfill you booze and sunscreen needs.
Several restaurants are located in the complex, the most obvious of which is oddly a macaroni grill, a large Italian chain based on the mainland. There is a pretty solid sushi house located on the opposite end with excellent local creations, and a fairly robust food court with good Hawaiian bbq, Japanese noodle house, and chicken. If you go to the subway or the other mainland chain, something has gone awfully wrong. You're in Hawaii. Why the hell would you eat overpriced subway...
