I had an appointment on March 5 to assess why my laptop was not charging. The technician helped me pick the appropriate battery for purchase and told me to make an appointment to have Geek Squad replace the battery once it was delivered. I finally got the battery replacement and made an appointment for March 10. I came in for my appointment and Geek Squad rep , Abbey, told me it take 1-2 days to replace the battery. I asked her what was the point of making the appointment? She said I cant stop working on other people's devices to work on yours. I replied - but I have an appointment. Abbey did not want to understand and she did not want to help. So I call Geek Squad customer service and at this point I am frustrated. The rep on the phone was very patient. I knew I had to move on and asked her to help schedule another appointment with another best buy location or if they worked with any third party computer repair stores since I an a Total Best Buy member that I pay for. In the middle of me finding my own solution, another geek squad member Mr. Man " Bun says to me - "Are you the one with the battery replacement?" and I replied yes. He says you cant expect us to stop working on other customers devices to replace your battery - I said but I have an appointment. It was all very rude and very disappointing. I ended up going over to Computer Repair Service on Walton Ferry in Hendersonville and received great service. He was able to replace my battery and clean the fan in 40 minutes as a walk in customer. The Best Buy manager was very polite but couldn't help me since Geek Squad is under different management. Read moreI had the opportunity to work with Stewart when my laptop needed an operating system install. I initially had my appointment set for a later time that day, however, the air conditioning of my house went down that same day. The AC tech could only arrive during the time I initially had set for geek squad. I went into Best Buy earlier than my scheduled time in hopes I could drop my computer off early as the work needed done was pretty straight forward. Stewart was very accepting of my scheduling issue and worked me in on the spot. I didn’t have to tell him I had an appointment later that day, he was already aware, I assume from keeping a close eye on the days appointments.
He was professional, polite, explained the process, and made some future suggestions for further device safety. Honestly, he was passionate about his knowledge in technology and that made me feel extremely comfortable with him and his team handling my laptop in the correct manner. It was refreshing to find someone with personal passion in their work field.

Read moreMy phone screen was fixed perfectly (so far). They were very helpful in that case, it was pretty quick and easy. I went and bought an extra screen protector to put over my new screen and it took an HOUR for them to come back to me to tell me it wouldn’t work after they tried to do it with two different screens. COMPLETE waste of extra time and wouldn’t just tel me that the screen wouldn’t work. Also they only do screen repair by appointment and most likely won’t have the things to fix it. Call them before going in to make sure they have what you need...
