Panera Bread — Restaurant in Hendersonville

Friendly staff, but drive thru orders and consistently wrong. Over the years, the portions have gotten much smaller while the prices have consistently gone UP! What used to be a bowl is now a cup of soup and what used to be a cup is more like half a cup. The bread they give you is sometimes very small and sometimes normal. Just depends on who's serving apparently. The salads are miniscule and you'll be lucky to get enough dressing to cover 1/4th of the lettuce. If you aren't ordering Brocolli Cheddar or another 'thick' soup, expect lots of water and not much more. Espcially anything with rice or beans....lots of water. Their iced lemon drink is very watery and not sweet. It used to be great, now it's pretty nasty. For over a $3.00 drink, you'd think they would have kept the original version and not tried to skimp on flavor. YUCK! Inside the restaurant, you are usually greeted by nice folks, however, once in a while, you'll get a drill seargent at the cash register. Imagine "Soup Nazi" meets southern suburbia. It's not very pleasant to have someone yell "NEXT PERSON PLEASE" several times near your ear when you are trying to order lunch. When you receive a wrong order and try to have it corrected, expect to be greeted with a big heaping pile of attitude. Bottom line? Go somewhere else! Internet here is not strong at all. I have a brand new computer and mine is extremely sluggish on this internet. Worse than dial up ever was.

Bathrooms. Wow. Someone got paid way too much to design and engineer the layout on those bathrooms. For as big as this dining room is, theres no room in those bathrooms. I hit a a child in the head as I was coming in the door and she was coming out of the first stall. Hopefully she’s ok but if my child ended up with an injury over those doors, I’d be suing in a heartbeat.

Many of the tables are dirty and need to be wiped off. They need someone to come around with a rag and offer to wipe tables - occupied and unoccupied.

There needs to be a change out option in place of the chips. If I’m already having a sandwich, I don’t want to now also have bread with it. A small cup of soup or fruit, or potato salad, pasta salad, something… would be so much nicer.

They are relatively quick here and the food is good but it’s close to several churches and the place is packed on...

Ordered two of the melt sandwiches and a cup.of soup all three with chips.

1st wanted bread bowls for soup, could not because they were out, wanted the baguette for sides, could not they were out so order chips as sides for all three but apparently out because we got apples? Employees were openly discussing what to put in bags without asking the customers as I was standing there waiting for my order. My sandwich was supposed to be no Onions, screen said my order was ready but the employee behind the counter noticed it was supposed to be no onions so they said they would remake it ( not sure how because they were out of baguettes) employee that appeared to be in charge of the line told her to scrape it off and re use the bread. That was bad enough but guess what? Sandwich still had onions on!!!! Are you kidding me after all that no communication on giving apples instead of chips. Cold sandwiches. As well as one re made and still had onions on it.
