I purchased for many clients as an Interior Designer exclusively loved and recommended the Glen Brooke store. The former Manger was great and helpful. I recently returned to Hendersonville to my 1st choice store where I have spent $$$$ for three years prior to 2020. I spent 2 hours choosing a small purchase of lamps and decor $245. The male Manager was rude, the cashier had no clue what she was doing. I just bought a new car and left my card behind so had to use a spare card. I did not realize this until checkout. I asked if they could hold the lamps long enough for me to run back to get my credit card. After loud discussion being talked down to the girl with the ring in her nose announced that I “didn’t hVe enough money so my card was not working repeatedly. I finally said just charge one and I’ll come back for the other. By this time the incompetency led to the manager instructing her to return my purchase on my card for a CASH Refund which made NO sense! After that epic mistake not only could I not purchase anything but was then told the BEST part… I will not get my credit payment returned for 7-10 days AND the manager said oh well if you were coming back to get the lamps with your other card we could do that. How is it possible I can buy with a linked card with money that is not in my account if I come back that day BUT I can’t get my same money back on my card for over a week because “I had a return “ which I told them was not the correct way to handle the funds. He then told me that’s how business do stuff. I owned businesses and I know this is not accurate. My recommendation to all who work hard for their money and can choose where to shop for decor, go where you are appreciated , respected, and they have well trained staff! If you are a designer please be careful. Quality has gone down and a bargain hunted for is just not worth the way you are treated. I will update this if I ever get my money back. My bank locked my account because the activity was “suspicious “ to protect Me. That was just an extra perk of the nightmare experience of going back to a place that used to feel like home! Read moreWe came here over the weekend to purchase a chair for our nursery. We picked out the chair and got an associate to help us get it to the register. While lifting the chair alone(he said we couldn’t help because of liability issues), the associate slipped and his knee went through the side. There was a loud pop that sounded like one of the supports and the fabric was also damaged. You could see the very large dent from the side, right by the reclining handle. The associate apologized profusely (totally understandable, it was a large chair and accidents happen) and said if we still really wanted the chair (only one they had in stock) they usually do a 10% or so discount if there is damage. We agreed and went to the front of the store.
The associate explained what happened to the manager on duty. Who responded very rudely that we could still sit in it, so no discount. Both myself and the store associate tried to talk to him about the very visible damage and possibly the reclining part being damaged (we couldn’t sit to try it out as it was on a dolly). The manager replied that if we really wanted it, we’d pay full price.
We told the associate we were not getting the chair and left. The associate was very apologetic and clearly felt bad about the situation, we do not blame him at all for the accident. But the managers rudeness and unwillingness to accept store responsibility for the damage was unacceptable.

Didn’t have them in packaging, had RECEIPT WITHIN THE THIRTY DAY ALLOWANCE!
