Painted Daisy Florist — Local services in Highland

I’ve been going here every two weeks for the last 4 years… From their original place around the corner to where they are now steps away. I found the place very creative because I could pick flowers and have them do an arrangement for me and they would give me pricing before I left and I could come back in 10 or 15 minutes and shop next-door and come back and it was done. However, my last several experiences have been less than optimal where I have been given pricing and then they just add sub standard flowers and often times extra greens and then just tell me we did it and it’s only six dollars extra or it’s only eight dollars extra without telling me before hand. I’m not the guy that’s cheap but these little knickknack add-ons without them telling me seem unethical… and on my last discussion, the owner decided to raise your voice and tell me how ugly it was going to be if she removed that which I found highly irregular with another client in the business and especially after going there every two weeks for years. She has excellent ratings, which is why I did not leave. One star and my experience for years has always been pretty great. 8/10/21- Want to follow up on this review. I did call the owner, Tina, after she reached out to me here. She apologized and explained that she was out of town when it was made. She also offered some compensation for the added cost of having to have it redone. I really appreciate that she made the effort to "make it right".

8/4/21-Planning for an out of state wedding my daughters maid of honor ordered a bouquet for us from this shop. When I went to pick it up I didn't know what to say- so bland and colorless(orange on orange with salal as the greenery). Nobody said anything but later my daughters fiancé said, I am surprised it doesn't have more color. My daughter said she was too but that it was "okay" We finally had the courage to say we didn't like it either. We took it to a different flower shop and they were able to remake it adding more color and it was beautiful (the flowers were good quality and lasted the entire weekend, that is why this is not one star). When we talked to the maid of honor she said that the shop florist told her adding color would distract from the flowers and she didn't ask much about it since she's the professional. This place is amazing, and Sara and Tina are THE sweetest ladies ever! I went in on my wedding day after the florist doing my flowers totally ruined my flowers. I explained to these two what happened and that I needed some bulk flowers to try and repair the damage done (my colors were plum and lavender and my florist used orange). I asked them for plum/lavender flowers, eucalyptus and even showed them some pictures of different flowers/leaves that I liked and they found everything I needed for me! They even let me look on the delivery truck to see if there was anything else I liked. They quite literally saved my wedding day! They even let me borrow a bucket to take all the flowers in and offered to help me arrange my bouquet in the event my florist was still unable to match my vision.
