Will not be going back for the foreseeable future after my experience today.
If I didn’t have a long history of good experiences here I would give 1 star. My family has gone to the highland PPC location since they first opened and we love how much they do to connect to the community, help with school fundraisers, and create a welcoming environment.
I think the pizza is not great but my kids love it and I love the salad bar and the pasta bar.
Frequently I would come here and pay for food for my kids then go home and make fish for me and my husband. My kids don’t like fish so it’s an easy way to get them a dinner without me preparing 2 dishes.
They eat some veggies and whole grain pasta and are thrilled about getting dessert at the end. I love that there are healthy options on the buffet!
Today I tried to take my kids in and I was told by the employee that anyone who sits at the table has to pay for a buffet. I could not believe they would make me pay $10 just to sit at the table and supervise kids who I purchased food for.
Since I had swiped my card before realizing they charged for an adult buffet I asked for my money back and left, they were prompt to do the refund and didn’t give me a hard time about that which I do appreciate.
I went to the Orem location which is farther from my home, but has a larger salad bar, and more variety of pizzas. They were happy to let me supervise my kids without buying a buffet for myself.
Until the Highland location changes the policy I’ll either not go to PPC, or I will go to the Orem location. So sad to see the closest location to home adopt that policy.
If the policy ever changes I’ll be thrilled and be happy to bring my...
Read moreUnfortunately, this was a terrible experience. My family had high hopes coming here for a family dinner night. We came at 5:15pm. There was very little pizza. Half the trays of pizza options were empty and never filled, and the pizzas that were available were mostly bread/crust with little toppings, and they were dry from having sat out. Only their combo pizza had a good amount of toppings. There was only one dessert pizza that we got a few slices of before it ran out, and they did not have another dessert pizza available for half an hour. Their soda machine offered options that weren't available. The customer service was very poor. My husband went to wait for some dessert pizza to be ready, and no one came to address him. He saw them in the back just visiting with each other. He had to find someone and ask when a pizza would be available, and all he was told was, "Oh ya, we're making some." They wouldn't tell him how long. They just left him waiting for 30 minutes. The dessert pizza was good when it finally came. The atmosphere looked nice at the first site. It looked nice. We were told to choose a table to sit at. It was cold, and my kids had to keep their coats on the whole time. There were no paper towels in the bathroom we washed our hands in, and while we were eating, a service tenant placed a reserved sign on our table for a party coming in, which felt like we were being told to finish and leave. We were very disappointed with our experience. It was over $50 for my family to eat here. For that price we could have had 5 whole giant pizzas from a wholefoods Food Court nearby. I'm sorry to say, I can't...
Read moreSo disappointed because this place used to be better. The salad bar was old! We asked for fresh veggies because the ones in there were very obviously old. Slimy cucumbers etc. also the boiled egg dish only had yolks. Had to ask for new eggs because the yolks were just caked together and gross. Tomatoes were almost white. Not edible. The pizza is alright- buffet pizza.
My biggest frustration was their huge TVs in every corner. We took up an entire section of the restaurant with our extended family and no one else was over there but us. The kids were all just staring at the commercials and whatever show was on instead of eating. I asked them to please turn it off so the kids would eat since we paid for them to eat but they said they cannot turn the TVs off. I insisted that for us, the experience would be so much better if they’d turn it off while we ate and then they can turn it on when we leave. They would not.
The workers were a young and not very friendly. They’d come clean up our food while we were eating which was frustrating and left me feel like they didn’t have anything else to do. (They could have instead freshened up the salad bar 😬).
Not worth $10 for me as an adult. Didn’t love it. And the kids definitely not worth the $8 or whatever since they couldn’t stop staring at the huge TV screen and the veggies weren’t edible.
Hopefully this helps the owners step it up a bit! It used...
