Horrific experience. I got an oil change in Highland Utah at Jiffy Lube. They left my oil cap off. I didn't know and went to St George for a family reunion. As we were driving smoke started flying everywhere. We popped the hood and the cap was off and oil everywhere. Had make it in every crack and crevice. We had to have other family members pick us up. We had to buy a bunch of cleaner even to get enough oil off to make it to another jiffy lube in st George. They were helpful and tried their best help us clean the oil. They said 100% the other jiffy lube left the cap off. They said it was caked underneath and all through the engine. Our check engine light came on. We had to spend two and a half days at nights cleaning our engine. It was a nightmare. We brought it back up to the jiffy lube in Highland thinking they would take care of us. We watched video footage of them not putting the cap back on. I asked Ted the manger to fix the problems that had caused the check engine light to come on form the oil spilling all over my engine. Oil and ruined my sensors. He wouldn't take fault and started to fight us. He went to his office and wouldn't even talk to us anymore. We were super simple and respectful and didn't match his aggression. all I wanted was for my car to be fixed from the problem they caused. We left because he wouldn't talk to us. I came back a few days later and he said he couldn't help me and told me he would talk to his district manger. His district manger wrote me a generic email saying he's sorry oil seeped though my oil cap and its not their fault. First of all oil did not seep through our cap. It was off and oil was everywhere. I asked to record the video they had showed me and he said no. Ted told me he would get back to me that day after talking to his regional manager. And didn't. He called me the next day to tell me they won't help me. and then when I tried to explain my frustration he hung up on me. That's so bad. Even though it was clearly their fault. I have to borrow a car now until I can figure out how to pay for my car to get fixed. That's ridiculous. This is horrible business especially in such a good area, where my family had taken their 15 cars to this Jiffy lube for 15 years. So sad to be treated this way. Hopefully this reaches someone that can make a change there and fix my car for their mistake. It's so frustrating. I had to deal with this and miss many activities at my family reunion, to which we haven't had for 8 years since my dad passed away. This is such a bad ran business. such a bummer, to have dealt with this. I've lost slept and its made me feel...
Read moreI recently visited this Jiffy Lube location for a windshield repair and, unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. While I'm not an expert in windshield repair, I have a good mechanical understanding and have watched similar repairs being done in the past. I’ve been satisfied with this location's service on several occasions, including different types of automotive services.
During my visit, the technician was friendly and began by drilling through the first layer of the windshield. However, I noticed that the resin didn't seem to flow into the cracks as I had seen in previous repairs. The technician attempted to force the resin into the hole while tapping on the window, even adding more resin and trying again. When he removed the injector, there was an excessive amount of resin, which he cleaned up quickly. He then applied a curing strip and attempted to use a UV flashlight to cure the resin but couldn’t find one, so he asked me to park in the sun for the curing process. After finishing the repair, I left the shop.
About an hour later, I noticed an 8-inch crack in the windshield, which I understand can sometimes happen after a repair. However, I was concerned that the resin hadn't fully filled the damaged area, as I could still see part of the original chip. Given the circumstances, I decided to return to the shop to express my concerns.
When I spoke to the manager, I was disappointed by the way my complaint was handled. Instead of addressing my concerns, he reassured me that all his technicians are trained properly. When I mentioned the missing UV light, he pointed to the sun and, in a raised voice, explained that it was being used instead. The conversation felt dismissive, and when I questioned whether the repair was done correctly, he responded in a manner that I found condescending.
I was hoping for a more constructive response, such as an acknowledgment that sometimes things don’t go as planned and a promise to investigate whether the repair was done correctly. Even a small gesture, like a discount on future services, would have gone a long way in retaining me as a customer. Unfortunately, I left feeling frustrated and undervalued.
While I understand that mistakes can happen, the way my concerns were addressed has made me reconsider returning to this location. I hope this feedback can help improve the customer service...
Read moreSorry If this is long. I have been going to the Lehi Jiffy Lube for years and had no issues, but I moved to Highland so decided to go to that location. The first time I went was back on Saturday May 9th to get my oil changed and emissions done and it went very fast. The next day my brother noticed that my car was leaking oil, note that my car was not leaking before this. So early in the following week I took back a second time and let them know that it was leaking. After looking at it they said that they had a new worker and they didn't tighten it properly and I was on my way very quickly. Unfortunately it didn't stop the leak and I was back to location for the third time at the end of the same week. The worker said that it looks like my oil pan was striped and he put on a larger plug and hoped that it would stop the leaking and if there was any other problem to come back and speak with a manager and again I was quickly on my way. Well it stopped leaking....for a few weeks and then started up again. I went back for a fourth time on June 3rd. After they looked at it I asked to speak to a manger (I believe his name was Robert) because that's what the last worker told me to. After speaking with the manager he told that I need to get a new oil pan and parts and labor were going to be around $500 dollars. I asked why I would need to replace it when it was working just fine before. He never really answered the question just kept telling places where I could buy the part for cheap and said that his location couldn't fix it and I would have to go to another Jiffy Lube like Lehi. I was obviously very frustrated and confused at why I would need to pay for something that was working before I brought it to this location. I told him that this was my fourth time here and this is the first I hearing about needing to replace something. How would I possible be liable for their mistake? This is not okay and I would like to speak to someone above that manager like a district manager, because this is unacceptable.
Update: I got a hold of the head manager and he was very apologetic and fixed...
