Summary: If you are owed any sort of money or compensation it won't takes days, but months. Context: I was charged a full month of rent for February when my move out date was the 8th. This means my rent should have been prorated 1/3 of normal rent. I am currently owed $1500. I contacted their office to sort it out and was at first comforted with he fact that I would get a check sent out a day after inspection which would happen the day after the move out date. That was 100% false and I wish I could name the individual that told me that because shame on you. I have driven 2 hours to go this office in person and told more comforting lies as to how long it would take to be paid. Nothing. I called the office now a dozen times just for the receptionist to pass my call on the assistant manager who has failed to return my calls at least 5 times. As I am writing this, today was the last time I will take a non-returned call and will drive another TWO HOURS to go to their office and confront the situation. They are a massive international corporation and do not care about you.
More complaints: I left for a trip to Hawaii and when I came back I noticed a mold or mildew growing on everything including my bed sheets. (There was mold or mildew in the windows when I moved in as well). I went to the front office and asked about the mold or mildew that had grown so much in one week and they said they would investigate. Their contract mandates that tenants will deal with and clean their own mildew and the apartment will deal with mold. I said okay fair, go and investigate. The next day I come back from work and all of the mold or mildew had been cleaned off the windows and walls. I went to the office and asked the manager: "So you found mold in my apartment? What do I do now?" and their response was: "No it wasn't mold, we just cleaned up the mildew for you." I am still irate as I type this. They say I have to clean up my own mildew but also don't go any further than "It wasn't mold". Meaning I had ZERO chance to test the mold or mildew myself and they just cleaned it up and rid themselves of any financial responsibility. To note: I only found out about the mold or mildew growing on my bed because I was sick with breathing issues for a week after I came back from Hawaii.
Long story short: They do not care about you. Their front office is a front and barrier from you talking to their parent company that, WHO GUESSED IT, has zero way to contact anywhere. Go ahead and try to find it. There are a lot of places to live in Orenco and the only reason Nexus survives is because they get endless contracts with Intel to house their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBefore last night I would have gave the Nexus and its Management Staff Four Stars. I had previously lived in the Nexus for a couple of year had a good experience. The complex was always clean, the rates were very competitive, and the staff was extremely friendly. If it was not for the fire alarms going off all the time it would be giving this place five stars.
Last night I stop by to drop off dinner for some friends that just had their first baby a week ago. From past experience living there I know that you can only park I unmarked non-covered parking spots. I found an unmarked spot, parked there and ran dinner up to my friends. 15 mins later I came back to where my car was supposed to be to find it missing. I was a little confused at first. The parking spot was not marked "Residents Only" and there were no signs warning that you would be towed for using the parking lot to visit friends. I walked out on to the street to see a small, dark colored sign stating that this lot is for residents only and says nothing about gust not being allowed to park in the lot.
When I was parking I even walked past the tow truck driver from Titan Towing, who said nothing to me about being towed for leaving my car there. This is wrong and is predatory towing. He could have warned us to move our car before being towed. Instead he watched us walk up the stairs, and within 15 mins towed my car. This is WRONG and should be illegal in the this state. Towing companies are vultures. They provide little service to the community and prey on the people in those communities by charging them $340.00 to get your car back that they stole.
I am a business owner and the the businesses that I hire to service my business, clients, and potential clients reflects back on me. Nexus Management, why would you hire a company that that is immoral practices and preys on your clients?
I would strongly not recommend to anyone looking for an apartment not to choose Nexus. You will never be able to have your family or friends visit without threat of tow. It will cost than $340 each time they come to see you.
What apartment does not have guest parking for its residents? These guest will most likely be your future residents. 70% of new comes from referrals.
Nexus Management please try to hold yourselves to a higher standard. Put more signs throughout your park lot that warning visitors, and please work with a towing company that does not prey on your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdated to add: you will be paying, at minimum, $200-$250+ for them to āsanitizeā your apartment and if you have carpets, itās $85 for them to clean them unless they decide to replace them because of course they will lol. So. Just for future renters. If your deposit is the minimum youāre actually just making a prepayment for your move out. Rent somewhere that tells you this transparently rather than what nexus does āļøš¤ Iāve lived in enough places and if thereās going to be required move out fees theyāre supposed to be on the lease and have been in the past. But, wanted to share to save someone $. Whatever else they think youāll owe gets charged there after but that āsanitizing feeā and carpet/floor cleaning is non-negotiable for them. FYI. Overall nexus is like any of the other apartment complexes, except itās recently been going downhill since the departure of, imo, some of the most competent maintenance crew Iāve ever had a pleasure of meeting. The new maintenance crew is also great donāt get me wrong, but they werenāt set up for a successful hand over and it shows. Also, if you have problems that only management can take care of? Donāt worry. Itās not going to get resolved. And before management says āemail us directly with your concernsā I have. From literally the day Iāve moved in because of my weird ass neighbors being absolutely disturbing, to the DV my family and I had to listen to that occurred upstairs, and letās not forget now, too, the people who smoke and leave their joint and cig butts everywhere. Itās overall a great experience, if youāre into not feeling at peace in your own home. I have had great experiences and interactions with Jennifer and the maintenance crew and thatās about it. All in all- literally pick anywhere and youāll have some thing that isnāt right- itās apartment life. Nexus could just overall literally do a better job of addressing concerns with action and also not making this weird foreboding sense of āif you talk to your neighbors itās badā because if you have an issue with a neighbor youāre not allowed to be like hey- letās be adults and resolve this at the lowest level. They (nexus management) wonāt resolve it either so youāll be SOL. Rent at...
