The One Horse Taphouse — Restaurant in Hillsboro

This bar isn't a bad place to be, especially after a long day, but the owner of it is rather unprofessional with her behavior. She came up to me rather aggressively wondering if I had made an OLCC complaint on them, which was weird because I hadn't at all. She tried insinuating that I had made an OLCC complaint against her other bar Pizza Schmizza, which I hadn't either. It was a very odd experience that really soured my experience there. Don't get me wrong, the rest of the staff are awesome & incredibly professional with their work and I love it. But be wary of the owner of the bar, she is the opposite of her employees in terms of professionalism and comes off as kinda rude in her line of questioning...

I'm not sure how to evaluate this place. There aren't many tvs, and they are placed too high to be easy to see; this is not a sports bar. There is a nice selection of beer, but no liquor, so this is not a bar. There is a rotating selection of food trucks (ours served TERRIBLE Mexican food) but it's not a restaurant. The service was great, but I don't know why anyone would go here instead of the other options in the area. Also, this is a dog friendly establishment, but both times there was a huge great Pyrenees that behaved terribly: it barked at people coming in and jumped up to sniff my partner and her food. Terrible dog owners but the staff couldn't...

My favorite tap house in Hillsboro! My favorite thing about this place is they are DOG FRIENDLY! The wonderful staff even came over and handed me a giant biscuit to give to my pup. Hard to find in the area.

Have a great selection of beer, ciders and cocktails. Rotating food trucks are just outside.

Lots of TV’s, great speakers, awesome atmosphere to watch a game or hang out with friends, family or coworkers.
