My fiance, my best friend and I came here to get something to go. We came in, and we must have been standing there for about 15 minutes, and we weren't even acknowledged. We were the only ones there, aside from the few that briefly came in to pick up their orders. My fiance wanted to order something, but because there wasn't a description, I wanted to ask what it was. Since the only other person in the room was on the phone, I asked the sushi chef behind the counter if I might be able to ask him a quick question. Very abruptly, he tells me that he can't answer questions because he only makes sushi, that I have to ask the other guy who has been on the phone since before we got there (even though he had helped other customers get their orders between calls). Because of the sushi chef's rude response, my fiance decided to get something he's had before, since asking about what he wanted was too much for the sushi chef to handle. So we waited another 10, 15 minutes, at which point the guy on the phone had time to take another call. At that point, my best friend had suggested we try leaving and calling in our order. As we were walking out the door, I told my friend that was a good idea, since we were being ignored in person. However, it wasn't until we were leaving that the sushi chef hollered for us to come back and asked to take our order, when he was too busy to be asked a very simple question moments previously. When he took our order, he gave as an ETA of 25 minutes. Came back in 30 minuets, and it still wasn't done, though I was asked to pay anyway (and I left a tip, which I regret). We were told to come back in 5 minutes. Came back in 5 minutes, and we ended up waiting 5 minutes more. We grab our food and leave. We're excited, because everything smelled really good in the car. When we get back to my apartment, we discover the styrofoam container at the bottom of one of our bags had a leak, which made the bag leak onto my friend's car seat, and one of the styrofoam containers had a huge gaping hole on the top. In spite of the food being good, we won't be...
Read moreThe waiter was super rude, unbelievably rude. I entered the restaurant before my friend got there, told the waiter we had two people. He told me from very far away that I could find myself a table to sit down. There was one smaller empty table with two chairs, and a number of bigger empty tables with four. I would’ve sit at the small table, but it was very close to some other guests and I wanted to have a good conversation with my friend, so I sat at one of the 4-person tables while waiting for my friend. The waiter came, told me to move to the small table, without a normal-level polite tone that one would expect at a restaurant, but I didn’t mind, and I scooted over to the smaller table right away. But he still wouldn’t stop. He started tapping heavily on the table, while shouting to my face, “small table, small table, small table”, literally 3 times, sarcastically and loudly, and even the guests next to me were startled and staring at me. I couldn’t believe what was happening. At that point I realized he probably had told me to find a smaller table in the beginning, but I didn’t hear that. Regardless, how can someone be so rude to their guest? I left.
Update: I found another review from a reviewer named Alexander 5 months ago complaining about a similar situation and describing the same waiter. So apparently there is a pattern here and that...
Read moreRudest restaurant encounter I have ever seen! I witnessed one of the servers, I think he might even be a manager, being unbelievably rude to a new server. I was in there to pick up a to go order and the manager first walked away from me in the middle of a conversation. Than while waiting for my order the manager pulled the new server aside, although they were only about a foot away from me, and begin to berate and demean this young kid. He asked if the new server was so incompetent he needed help learning how to hold a pencil and write his name. He mockingly repeated the kids apologies back to him. All while I was right next to them starring at this in shock.
After that I left but had to come back because I had forgotten my receipt. The manager refused to give it to me, saying he had thrown it away and that was too bad for me. He only relented after I told him I knew for a fact he could reprint one. It only took him 10 seconds to reprint after over a minute of him refusing to give it to me. I honestly don't care too much that he was rude to me, what made me write this review was the horrible way he treated the new hire. I will never go back here, I just can't after...
