The owner and staff are always so helpful. And their selection is fabulous! They've got everything the big stores have, and at competitive prices. I also get a kick out of the owner, Mike. At first I thought him crabby, but he actually has a droll sense of humor and is incredibly easy going and friendly. Both with me and other customers, there have been times when he's actually talked us out of buying something as he knew it ultimately wouldn't serve our long-term interests. I mean, who does that? He's a true character. I always look forward to going there.

UPDATE: They deliver! Maybe they've had this all along and I didn't know it, but I love and use this service all the time now. And it's free! I always give a nice tip, but they don't ask for it. Just another reason to shop with...

Huge selection. Knowledgeable and super friendly and helpful staff. The owner always goes above & beyond to help with treating any ailments your pet might have and even went so far as to get a biochemist on the phone for me regarding my care for my ailing dog. He has given me food to try for my dog and doesn’t charge me unless my dog likes it-and he is so kind-by donating food for stray animals I care for. Truly the best spot in Hoboken. Mike and his staff are a blessing to Hoboken and Brooklyn. We are SO lucky. My dog runs to the door when we say “Uncle Mike”!!! That’s enough for me! Thanks...

I'm not sure if the cashier is the owner, but the gentleman helped me so much. My cat was not agreeing with his new food.

The cashier helped me buy the old brand of food my cat likes, as well giving me some pumpkin packets to mix with his food to soothe his tummy which worked tremendously.

He also told me I can return any food for a full refund if my cat doesnt like it or gets sick from it. Good to know! Not money hungry, really cared about the well...
