I just love this bookstore... because it's more than a bookstore... it's a place where you can go and get lost in time and space, and connect with another world. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff is very friendly and people go there sometimes just to hang around or socialize...or find peace and quiet in a busy and troubled world. They had an open sign on the door when I strolled by so I went in, where they were having a mommy and me class so I excused myself and just looked at the outside selection which was wonderful and I found 3 books I wanted to purchase but when I tried pop my head in to ask to purchase no one acknowledged me at all ~ so I just left and put the books back. I love that they’re providing a mommy and me classes for folks but maybe have somebody also there to help normal customers or put a sign that says open to group only! Im sad and frustrated to have missed out on some good books at...

Symposia is a very cute bookstore to volunteer! I've been volunteering there for 3 years now and the staff and Carmen are great to work with! I enjoy arranging the bookshelves and fixing puppet supplies. I also love the range of books they have (from nonfiction, fiction, YA, history, etc.) and for a really great deal!
