Madewell — Local services in Hoboken

Normally I regularly shop at the locations in Manhattan in which the staff are very kind and greet me. However, every single time I’ve visited the location in Hoboken, not a single one of the employees ever acknowledges me. I stopped in today looking for a specific product and when I inquired with the salesperson (who was in the process of walking right by me without saying a word), she gave me a short answer and acted as if she couldn’t be bothered although she was being extremely attentive to a few other customers. While I understand that if a store is busy/overcrowded with customers that sometimes not everyone is greeted, but each time I’ve visited this location I was either the only customer or there were only a few other customers in the store at one time. Needless to say I will never set foot in this location again and will continue to shop in the stores in Manhattan as the staff at the Hoboken location need to improve on their customer...

Store looks nice, as most madewell stores are. But, when my family and I went there yesterday afternoon, nobody greeted us. No other customers were there. And after 10 minutes, still nobody greeted us. Sadly, this happened in most madewell stores, whether it was in Seattle or Westport (Ct). I don't know why. I hate to think that it's because we're Asians (brown skin). When I brought some things to the cash register, then a lady over there greeted us. This happened over and over again, even over the years. I don't know why I still went into madewell. I guess I love their things so much that I'm willing to overlook this, and maybe I'm hopeful that it will get...

I will proudly make this same review on any forum that will allow me to. Went to Madewell today to buy some jeans that would fit my 2 month postpartum body (any new mom can relate to the feeling). Well Jacqueline M. was an actual godsend with helping me find the perfect pair of jeans, that I felt comfortable and confident in. Jacqueline listened to everything I was looking for and approached assisting me with kindness, understanding, and was incredibly supportive and encouraging.
