My two children have been patients at UNC Rex Pediatrics at Holly Springs for over 4 years. At first, we loved this practice and the doctors. (We have seen Dr. Baler, Dr. Ryan, and Dr. Voorhees) But recently, within the past 18 months this place has gone down hill FAST! Today was my last straw with this practice, I am transferring all of my children's records to a new practice, I am done with Rex Pediatrics. The past 18 months have been hell trying to get my son's adderall on time. If it's not Dr. Ryan not sending it in time, its her blatantly ignoring messages and calls trying to get the medication that my son requires to be able to concentrate for school. It's always something, when the prescription is due to refill (MONTHLY) they will tell me the day I run out that my son requires a medication follow up before they can allow the refill, at times the CVS we use has run out and God forbid that happens, because guess what? You will not get a call back or the prescription sent to a different pharmacy!
My son has been out of his meds for the past 2 weeks because of yet another mess up (I let it slide because he was on Christmas break, but he started back today, with no meds again) We have been calling after hours nurses, the pediatrician office, and sent messages to Dr. Ryan's nurse to try to get his meds sent to a pharmacy in the same town, with no response. It's now after closing... and after calling for over 24 hours and following up multiple times today, there is still no prescription sent to the pharmacy, Dr. Ryan did not call back, and we are another day without medication.
The last time this was an issue I had to march my *ss up to the office to stare at them until they actually called in the prescription, but I cannot do that every month, I actually have a job that I have to go to.
If you are considering this practice I advise you to keep looking, unless you just want headache after headache and rude...
Read moreI am very concerned with Dr. Burch ability to comprehend as it can lead to misdiagnosis. She seems very nice but there is something that I could not shake. I had a gut feeling that there would be an issue and not to schedule my kids future appointments with her but I forgot to switch doctors and figured I would just get this visit over with and switch doctors right after. She asks your child a bunch of questions which is fine. I like that they don’t feel overlooked or as if you’re just discussing them. However, I felt as if it is more of an interrogative undertone which is off putting and why I was switching doctors. My daughter had a very knowledgeable and reputable doctor before relocating to North Carolina and never suggested what Dr. Burch did today which I feel was a wrong judgment due to her not knowing my child and whatever else her reasons where because it’s not making sense at all. There is no history or concerns from her previous doctor and her reason was absolutely shocking and ridiculous. Dr. Burch knows we relocated, clearly she knows about Covid and that she is homeschooled. She asked my daughter if she plays with the kids in the neighborhood or does she hang out with friends my daughter said no. Dr. Burch says for this reason she sees signs of developmental delays. Huh? She has no friends here, she’s homeschooled and due to Covid no one in our neighborhood has their kids out. We live in a culdasac with three neighbors and 2 have kids that don’t come out. She plays well with others, her brothers, speaks well, is very articulate, and is an A student. My husband and I are taking all three of our children from under her and from this location as we were going to do after the...

Good Evening
I discussed with your wife in detail earlier that both Jennifer Caviston, FNP and Dr. Christopher Byrd, our medical director are in agreement that we will not be writing a letter to excuse you from court. They are both very aware of your accident and your disability but based on the information we have from your one visit to our office, your request cannot be fulfilled at our clinic. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but you are more than welcome to ask your surgeon and/or your phychiatric provider and maybe they are more comfortable writing that letter for you.
Thank you Christine Moore
Amazing but that is how they work in this place this was the last email after all day sent and...
