I went in on 8/2/18 at approximately 2pm. The store was empty, seemed like a slow day. I went in looking for board shorts and HI shirts. I walked in, was not greeted. I roamed around the shop for about 5 mins, employee still did not say hi or ask if I needed help. After 10 mins, I decided not to give this store my business. Customer service is lacking and could be better, the employee during that shift needs more training in customer service, or to be let go. In retail you need to have an upbeat attitude and make sure the customer has a great experience in your store. Whether she was having a bad day or not, her demeanor easily influences the outcome of the stores performance. Management, please spend more time training...

And treating us as if he wanted us not to be there. It was 7:30 pm. The store was supposed to closed at 8pm (he told me after I asked. Although on the website it says it closes at 9pm). However, by 7:35pm he closed the door so no more customers would come in. We bought 2 t-shirts. When asked how we were going to pay, I said “by card”. He asked “do you have your card?” The customer service was not only lacking… it was worse than that....
Read moreAfter going from one surf shop looking for a particular color and size of board shorts I came to Hurley at the international market place. Although the store did not have what I was looking for, Amanda the sales clerk said she knows their sister shop HIC Surf has a pair similar to what I was looking for. She actually called the store told them not only what I was looking for but where exactly they would find it. She had them put it on hold for me and gave directions. I went there and sure enough it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Kudos to Amanda. Great...
