Paul's Barber Hairstyling — Local services in Honolulu

To start I never wrote a review before. But it was such a horrible experience that I had to write my first one. There was an older lady (Eni I think her name was). Whatever you do, do not go to the older lady, the younger is alright. The older lady is soo lazy cutting hair and beard that she will simply use a machine for everything. I told her 10 times I just wanted my long beard trimmed and cleaned a short bit. Just want it slightly detailed with clean sides. She got a machine and buzzed it all off back to front! She has no idea how to even use a machine on a beard! Who buzzes a beard back to front?? For refrence it makes your chin smaller than the rest, that’s the very basics of beard trimming. Then proceeded to tell me I should have told her not to do that. So I had her repeat what I said to her! And her response is that my beard which I was growing for over 2 years will grow back!! Horrible experience, super lazy way to cut hair, it’s simply a cheap haircut. I talked with a few freinds that live nearby they all shared similar experiences with her. We are all suprised how they have that high ranking on google. Just...

I wouldn't really call this a barber shop. More just for haircut. Which was average at best. The reason this place got more than 1 star is Paul's service was great. Friendly guy who takes good care of you, although a bit impatient if you critique the haircut and adjust. His wife Tracy is who bothered me. She stepped other customers in front of me because they were a family and more $$. Also she asked about how much $$ I was going to tip before I even started my haircut. The only thing in her mind is making profit, nothing to do with customer service. She was not only rushing with me, but other customers as well.

If you're looking for a quick average at best haircut, I recommend stopping by. I would have liked to have a better experience...

"Paul's Barber Shop" is a world class barber shop and styling salon with amazing service, Paul and his wife Tracy and their associates have endless Aloha and walking distance from Waikiki with tons of on-street parking. I've been going to them for a long long time. Paul saved us one night decades ago when my sSon Leo cut his hair and it was not good, ran him to Paul's as he was closing and he turned a potential hair disaster into an amazing experience for my sSon Leo since Paul took what he did to his head and turned it into an amazing style we called the Malfoy with short spikes and great styling...we left with Leo thanking Paul and I...and Phew...Paul saved...
