Salon Kit — Local services in Honolulu

I found Kit thru a website that said he specialized in a type of extention only 300 folks know. When I contacted him he agreed to see me and take out those extensions. When I showed up he wouldn't speak to mem he was working on 6 people at once. His employees vigorously working along side mostly in fear which admitted our second appointment. He looked at my hair said he wouldnt donit and got up. When i waited and explained how he said he would he finally said fine. But Id have to come back. I paid for him to order hair 200+ and made an appointment. When i came back he again wouldn't speak and worked on an entire salon full when I explained the color I was looking for and showed an example from his Instagram account he relented and colored my hair. I never could figure out why he was so abrust and angry with me.

After coloring he got put the extensions and they were the wrong ones. Im sure with trying to do so much he ordered the wrong ones on accident.

So another appointment was not made because he wasnt sure when he receive the extensions... i called a few days later, texted, finally got a response days after.

When I returned I explained how the color had gone orange...he was frustrated and re did the hair then did my extensions 4 hours later.

When it came time for a redo I texted and called no response. I commented on his post on IG finally got a response telling me to call or text. Again 3 weeks later... finally a response saying he just cant.

Ladies this is not the salon of choice. Please be aware. Ive gone to salons all over the US and workd and never have I made a complaint. I do see most clients are not of my ethnicity and most nring him bottles of tequila... perhaps I shouldve bribed him more. Hundreds of dollars werent enough.

I was Khiet's client for over 3 years. Each visit I dreaded bc of the unbelievably long wait time (typically a min of 2 hrs late from the scheduled time), but kept going bc (at the time) I thought he was one of the best in town. He never took time to establish any type of rapport either. I always attributed it to the fact he had no time since he always had 5-6 clients in rotation. My most recent appt was my last. We texted for 2 weeks about a plan for my hair and what could be done. This time was different though. After being blatantly ignored for 2+ hours, then seeing him take another person (who's appt was an hour later than mine) before me, he thought it best to rudely shame me in front of other clients about my color. I have honestly never had anyone ever act so unprofessional towards me in my life. He scoffed at me, turned his back towards me, then made snide comments in the mirror about me to another client. For someone like me, who always tipped $100+ dollars, never complained about the wait, always took his opinion to heart....I can tell you that he lost my respect that day, as well as...

sadly i will never come here again. this is the most expensive and worse place ive ever been in to do my hair. I made an appointment directly with khiet and when i got there they forgot to put me on the agenda and i had to wait for a long time until they could squeeze me in although i made an appointment in advance. i was eager to get my hair done by him since ive seen his work and it looked great. he worked on 5 people at the same time and there was a lot of wait time during my visit. my hair was nice but very overpriced for the treatment i received. ive never been so disappointed and dissatisfied about a hair salon experience in my life. save your money and treat yourself to...
