SKECHERS Retail — Local services in Honolulu

I walked into the store yesterday afternoon. The young woman helped me find a correct shoe, and when I inquired about the 20% off, she mentioned it had to be an online order.

I went home and ordered online. 18 hours later, I hear nothing from the store that has the shoes, and I walk in to find 2 young men doing nothing but staring at their phone.

When I tell them Im there to pick up an online order, one mentions "huh, we haven't been notified of any online orders".

After looking up my name, "brandon" goes back and gets my order. He then proceeds to lecture me stating "you should only come when you get an email stating your order is ready, or call to see if it is in stock". This is despite the fact I told him i was there last night and had the shoes in my hands.. Not only did i feel like I had done something wrong, he was condescending, unaware, and shouldn't be representing the store. He literally looked like a deer in headlights.

What he should have done was apologize for not doing his job. I can only assume he should be checking online orders in the morning and preparing them.

When i was upset with his behavior, he continued to state I should have waited until I received the notifcation.

I was leary about going to Skechers in the first place, but honestly this one particular store, with this one particular 'store manager', as he stated he was, is a completely disgusting situation over a simple online order that should haven been ready 18 hours later.

My only word to describe him/store: incompetence, and oblivious.

If you are seeking knowledgeable, caring workers, who will help with your orders, do NOT come to this Sketchers, or at least deal with Brandon.

Went specifically for their Archfit line of shoes. We buy New Balance sneakers but specifically needed Archfit sandals. They had them in stocks and purchased them. Worked perfectly as advertised. We will be buying other Archfit sandals as a result. Unfortunately, this store doesn't honor any promotions for the Archfit line so you must pay full price in the store. Lose a star for that. We have since purchased direct from Skechers online for Archfit with sizeable promotional discounts. Not a fan of Skechers sneakers, and stick with New Balance which are far more superior. This Skechers store has a large variety of stock, although they don't carry the full line of Skechers products. Staff serviced us extremely fast, and were friendly as well. Shoe size there is normal American, meaning it is not Euro American, Europe's idea of American sizes, which most shoes are smaller. Shoes are larger like in the 50's and 60's. So, if ordering online, try it in person first. Thats why I went.

The Ala Moana shoe store has been there about 4 years. It was busy with serious shoppers. The clerk centered in quickly on my Skechers size and alternatives. I wasnt in there longer than 15 minutes for a slip on walking shoe close to the online price including shipping and tax. I was pleasantly surprised and almost euphoric at the process. The box was a...
