Original review was for installation/sales but since then we've had a few minor things that the service team came to help with and I wanted to highlight that.

I've been working with Ann on a few issues like optimizers for the panels going down, the wifi antenna in the inverter not working, and also a request to come back out to finish our EV charger setup. Each time, Ann has been super responsive and helpful with regards to filling out warranty claims and getting the crews back out here.

Most of the time, Nick has been the one to come out and make the fixes and he's been great too! Always calls to let us know when he's coming, gets everything done quickly and gets it right. With regards to the EV charger. We originally added a 240V outlet when adding our PV to just do everything at once knowing we were gonna get an EV in the future. Only thing was we didn't have one at the time so we couldn't confirm the direction of the current transformer since we didn't have anything to plug into the outlet. So, when we finally did get an EV, Ann helped us schedule a crew and Nick came out to fix it. They ended up needed to replace the original outlet as it was different that what we needed and we needed to move the location. As a bonus (wasn't even expecting them to), they also installed the charger in for us. Was just expecting them to help fix the outlet.

5 stars for service and for everyone I've had to interact with at Sunspear so far.

Original Review Below: The Sunspear team was such a pleasure to work with. From start to finish, every person we interacted with was knowledgable and professional.

Ryan Smith (our sales guy) was professional and not pushy. He made sure we understood what we were getting and right-sized our system for our needs and for maximizing tax credits. He also didn’t push us to get a bigger system than we needed.

Toy Eastes from the office kept us in the loop every step of the way and made the whole process seamless.

Electricians/Technicians were polite and professional and got the work done really fast. Also stayed late one day to make sure they could finish it up by the second day. Drew and Tracy were fantastic at explaining things and they caught a couple of things that were missed - painting the plywood board to match our house, the location of one of the panels which would’ve cut into our parking space. In both instances, they were super patient and was willing to resolve all issues before continuing.

Nicholas, who came out to spec out the area and to activate the system gave thorough and clear instructions and made all the timelines and expectations very clear. The time it took from signing to activating the system was also quicker than I thought it’d be!

Would highly recommend Sunspear for anyone...

Good install. Great team. I really like sunspear and would use them again 100% but beware of the tesla software. The software has had a small handful of weird issues. The most recent, it listed somebody else's house on my software to control. I think someone else might have had control of mine but I certainly didn't have any control over my own house. Now, sunspear replied to me to address the issue in less than a day. They are on it.But it took between 4-5 days before it actually got fixed. The issue involved working with tesla and isnt a quick fix. This was especially troublesome because I was out of the country and had no way of controlling my own house. I appreciate sunspear basically tried to do what they could do based on what they control ASAP, but I find it worrying that this takes so long to fix. Apparently somebody installed and used my system number or something for some other houses Install (not sunspears fault) and that's what caused the problem.. The fact that i can be unable to control my house so long really is a bad thing about the tesla software package. I think the tesla software is really not something id recomend again, even though i'd certainly recomend sunspear.

Sunspear is great, Clean install. Friendly. Great price. I love the work done and the team. 5 stars on the installment and negotiation and install process.

All the employees who worked on my install were great, too. And very friendly and wow they did a clean job. They are very professional and did a great job communicating through out the quotation and install processes. They were clear on each step of the process and very fair. The price was very competitive as I talked to many places abd chose sunsoear for the combo of price and professionalism.

I would go with different software/batteries vs tesla if I did it again as the software is not so great (the batteries are fine but not software. I give the software 2 stars) and this is the 2nd issue and its overall not great software with very limited options. And its logic is not so great in terms of power distrubuition and when it uses grid as its choices are not economical and they have not much logic options unless you literally keep manually making your home on and off grid based on each situation. But, The simple fact that they have a softeare vulnerabilty as bad as i had and that it takes Over 4 days to fix gives an idea of the confidence of the battery manufacturer. I'd just go for a different battery brand if starting from zero again. And focus more on what software ran the house because dumb software really changes potential savings. I write software and apps and know of a handful of simple ways id modify this.

Anyhow, I'd still use sunspear. 👍 🌞 ...

A fantastic solar experience by SunSpear Solar Company from start to finish. After meeting with a few solar companies in 2022 SunSpear comes up on top. And I mean way on top! I first met with Rick Bergstrom "Senior Energy Consultant" back in July 7, 2022. I can begin to tell you how great this guy is. Rick never failed or fails to respond to any question's I asked and continue to ask. Because I knew very little about solar at the time, and still have a lot of questions. And everything we discussed on our face to face meeting was also rewritten and sent to me via email that same afternoon. He even had a written proposal emailed to me that same night. And I'm talking about pages and pages of information and number's. Something that I know all homeowner's would want to know, right! Thank you Rick Bergstrom for all your patience. And even though I asked you some pretty dumb one's you always took the time to answer them in the way that I could understand. And it only took you minutes to respond, everytime! You respectfully are the best! Now, I'd like to give a big mahalo to all the worker's and personally commend each and everyone of them who from the beginning till the very end made it all possible for installing my entire solar system. Not only did they do a fantastic job. All of them were totally respectful and always willing to answer any questions that I had. And all of them were exceptionally neat every time they left the job. I respect these people so much I feel it's only fair that I should at the least mention their names.
