Happy Hollow Fountain — Local services in Hot Springs

The Best fountain for Spring Water. I come everyother week to fill my bottles and jugs. This is An Awesome place. I just don't like it when the people put the bungee cords to wrap around the buttons. I've seen people do this and it ruins the buttons. They had to shut it down and fix them bAnd when u don't kno when they maintenance these bc of the broken button or cleaning and coming from a long distance wasring ur gas whichbis expensive and u have to go to the other fountains that r hot and burn ur fingers or to the other fountains that are not as clean or cold or clean tasting. I wish they wud tell these people not to use their bungee cords bc they ruin the buttons. It messes people up u may think it's an easy way to fill ur jugs or bottles but it does ruin the buttons. Also I was there last yr a racist man came when I was almost done filling up took one look at me Yes I'm Mexican and I was born in California and New here and I kno there's racism still heavy in the south but he was uncalled for he harassed me and threatened me and yes there were others ther who defended me and yes I took a Pic of his license plate and vehicle. He was telling me I shunt be here to go back where I came from etx.. but what was funny he was a older white male he had a Asian of some sort of wife. But he was racist to me w an Asian Wife. Wow all I was doing was filling my water bottles and had great conversations w the other people. So sad that racist still exist in 2023...

20170301 - I had filled my water bottles from this location before I read the Water Quality Information sheet I received from the park visitors center which said in part: "The water at Happy Hollow spring is acidic with a pH of 4.25 whereas the water at Whittington Spring is alkaline with a pH of 7.25." I then dumped the water, drove to Whittington Spring and filled my bottles there. "The water from Happy Hollow spring is recent recharge water (less than 20 years old) whereas the water from Whittington Spring is 6000 years old and is substantially more mineralized than Happy Hollow spring."
