Covid response - There was a sign that says masks are required upon entering yet the servers worr them half the time or at their chin, even when serving food and talking with customers. Tables didn't appear very clean and menus were not sanitized between uses.

Atmosphere - The bar has permanent marker signatures and vulgar language all over the walls and decoration throughout this place. There is writing all over the tables and booth seating as well. We sat next to a return air vent that had a 1/8 inch of dust buildup on it and reeked of some sort of stench. I got the feel like its your classic college bar that has weeks of sticky drinks on the floor.

Food Quality/Service - The waitress seemed irritated when we hadn't decided what we wanted to eat yet. It was our first time there and we arrived for a late lunch around 2. There were about 5-10 other parties there and it took roughly 45 minutes to get our food. The food presentation was poor and most menu items are fried. I enjoyed a very mediocre "fried" fish, shrimp and oysters meal with fries.

Payment - The price is a little high for what you're getting as it isn't quality food. Also, upon paying, the server informed us that there would be a 3% upcharge if we used a credit/debit card. I declined and paid with cash. It was nice that she informed us of the charge ahead of time, but build that charge into your pricing like most companies. Unfortunately the pricing is already too high for the quality of food that is served here.

Conclusion - I should've read the reviews before eating here as I absolutely would have chosen a...

Went in to have lunch with a friend of mine. She ordered a hamburger and I ordered Mary Seafood crepe. In ordering our drinks I wanted hot tea for the first time ever I had a waitress suggest since they didn't have hot tea that she could take unsweet tea and heated up for me. I have suggested that before two other waitresses to have it fail. This waitress it came out beautifully! I love the fact that she was willing to think outside of the box to get me something that I wanted. Later down the line we had a gentleman come up to the table and introduce himself. He was the manager of the kitchen. He wanted to inform me that he didn't like the way the crepe looked. I'm assuming that they're pre-made due to the fact that he didn't make another one. But he was worried that it wouldn't be of good quality. And suggested that I order something else. I have worked in the industry more years than I would like to admit LOL. I have never heard, seen, or experienced anything of the sort. I was impressed! I later found that he had just taken the job over and he was trying to weed through what was left in the kitchen and what needs to be replaced. The food was incredible! The service was incredible! It is a comfortable restaurant / bar to enjoy your friends have a good meal and enjoy the view out the window. I most definitely will return! And I have been bragging about them ever...

Horrible experience. I just left this location. The restaurant was not busy, but our waiter appeared to have a couple of tables. He got our drink orders, and placed it in front of one of our wives to hand out (strike 1). We watched him take another tables drink order, and then take their order. He came back to our table with our alcoholic beverages, and left before we could request appetizer order. We waited patiently for another 5 minutes, and watched him fulfil/talk with tables sat after us.

We were frustrated, and hungry for sure. Since he would not acknowledge waving our hands, I requested the bartender to cash us out (4 waters, 1 beer, and a Purple Rain coctail).

He came to BY our table to the computer behind us, rolled his eyes, printed something out, and walked away. I now followed him to the other computer he walked to and demanded our check so we can try and eat dinner somewhere. I asked for a manager, and he then printed off my check, and he set it down at the computer, instructing me to walk over to sign. Now I am very upset. The manager then came over, and I explained to her our issues with the waiter. Lets just say, she didn't really have much to say and seemed very apathetic to our concerns.

I hope this review is read by those out of towners coming into Hot Springs. Do not ruin your experience of the town by eating...

Honestly I just love the atmosphere of this place so much. It’s got this dive bar feel but with a Hot Springs downtown air I just love about it. The patio is awesome with the natural rock mountain being one of the walls outside. There’s even an upstairs that has some pretty fun karaoke and music on the weekends that are guaranteed to leave you with some memories. The inside is smallish but cozy, lovely wood booths and BRING A SHARPIE. Goodness there’s hardly a spot in the place that hasn’t been marked with some name or memento to read. That was probably my biggest let down is I didn’t have a sharpie. That and they were out of gumbo 😅. But the fried trio was awesome and the sauces were great with them. The crinkle cut fries were okay- I wish that they were the real, hand-cut style personally. It would go with the atmosphere and cuisine better. A little gem to put in your pocket if you’d made it this far in my review- Fat Jack is the reason I’m here today. He was the awesome guy who introduced my parents in Texarkana, so I have a lot of love for the guy and only wish he was here with us today. 💗 all in all yal, try this place out if anything for the atmosphere and fun beers in a mason jar. Sit outside on a gorgeous day and watch the down town traffic just zip on by.

It's okay. Music is bumping and thumping. Definitely people here. Service is decent - not fast and not slow. Ordered the fish basket four piece. Fish was small pieces and just didn't have that flavor. The fries were crinkle cut and tasted like the ones from the grocery stores. All in all it was... Okay. UPDATE 11/24/23 I ordered the fried shrimp basket and the wife had the pasta with creole sauce and chicken. Both were amazing and full of flavor. I highly recommend the pasta with creole sauce. The portion size could be bigger on the pasta but it's all good. The staff was a little off as it took them forever to seat many people and stay on top of cleaning. Even the simple tasks of refilling drinks seemed hard for them. However, they might have been slammed before we got there. This was at 4 PM.

this was the hole in the wall that you never wanted to find. these fries were $10. ten. dollars. do they look "loaded" to you? the waiter was rude as hell. barely checked up on us. our wait for these fries was too long for what they were. no one knew who the band was upstairs or what genre. drinks on the menu didn't have prices. we actually ended up talking about worse restaurants that we've been to, to get our minds off the fact that we were now sitting in one of them. my first time in hot springs and this genuinely deterred my view of your city. my time in this restaurant was deplorable. thankfully across the street, rocky's corner saved the night. take notes from them as they know how run a business and have a great time doing it.
