Well as a frequent customer almost since the market opened I am finally forced to leave this review and it's not good. For the most part, every employee from the cleaning crew to vendors have shown me exemplary service over the past years to the point Lyric Market is my restaraunt/venue of choice. For clarity, I utilize Lyric Market whenever I have any type of event/meeting; from taking my team to lunch to celebrating holidays/birthdays with my family. Unfortunately, today while visting with my guest from out of town, I am left very perplexed. The bartender, Raven, was very rude today. Now to be clear, Raven is always rude but today it was extreme almost as if she did not want to service me at all, because at other times she did offer did minimum service. I am having an event at Lyric Market tomorrow (Sunday) and I wanted to sample wine, but I was going to pay. I wanted to preplan what bottle of wines I was going to serve at my event because on Sundays wine is half off. Ms. Raven told me that she was not sure if wine would be half off because the bar would have new specials in December. I asked what the specials would be so I could preplan and she couldn't tell me. I asked when she would know if the wine would be half off on Sundays still...she rudely said when I ask my GM. I said well I guess there is no point in us trying to preplan. She said I guess not and walked away. She eagerly rushed to service a couple of another race and it was clear she was much nicer to them. Again, I have been a customer since the market opened and I observed that she is not particulary customer service friendly to African-Americans. I'm sorry but based on the customer service provided by every other employee at Lyric Market I expected to be provided with options for my event tomorrow since what I was thinking was not available. Where is the customer service here? My message to Lyric Market Management: Raven has been at your establishment for too long and based on the atmosphere you aim to create she is not a good fix and will cost you money. I know without a doubt in my mind, I will not order from the bar while she is working. I have other examples of her rudeness and would be willing to share them if you like. Additionally, I have several people that I referred there that can attest that this lady is the rudest bartender you have. Do I think Lyric Market is racist? Not at all but one bad apple in an establishment will ruin the entire atmosphere. Lyric...please fixed this.
Signed,

Read moreThis past Sunday February 19th, 2023 at 4:30pm, my wife ordered a burger from, “Mission Burger.” On her second bite as the cheese extended she automatically felt something and after removing the food out her mouth she noticed a hair infused with the cheese. She then proceeded to take the burger back to the cashier/food maker at Mission Burger. My wife then starts with, “Hey I found a hair infused with the cheese”. The “Veteran” quickly replies with, “Okay? What do you want me to do about it? Make you another one?”. At this point my wife is confused on the “Veterans” reply and confusingly and slowly says, “Yes”. He then frustratingly replies with, “Well why didn’t you say that from the beginning?”. That’s when I stepped in and told him that he has no right to disrespect my wife like that. He then throws and waves his hand off at my face and walks towards the grill to re start the burger. Upon finishing the new burger, he gives it to me and stares at me with a cunning smile. Once my wife re opened the wrapped burger the buns are beyond burnt on both sides. Which my wife does not eat as we do not know if he secretly did anything else. As a veteran myself I was ashamed that someone who would wear an “US Army Veteran” hat, would uphold himself in such a way and treat people in the way he did. I hope this is talked with him or his supervisors to let him know that he is chasing customers away with his attitude and customer service. I will obviously not be coming back to this place for food. Overall the Lyric Market was beautiful and very well maintained, would have been perfect if it weren’t for this “Veteran”, and his...
Read moreWhen you first walk into the lyric markets, it really has an upmarket casual vibe, especially if entering from the Smith entrance. The bright, classy Rhapsody Bar bar in the middle gives the whole place a fun vibe.
One very nice touch is the self-serv artisanal tap water at each service area.
There are 9 food stools in total. I ate at 3.
Horu Sushi Kitchen ("Bringing its modern, innovative twist to an old concept. We set ourselves apart by consistently offering only the freshest, highest quality of fish and ingredients around.") Excellent vegetarian selection. Fresh and tasty. A little on the pricey side but you're paying for the luxury decor of Lyric Market.
Kati Roll Wala ("Authentic Indian street food in a convenient grab-and-go format") The katti roll is wound right so it doesn't fall apart when eating. It's really good though a little small for the price.
Press Waffle Co. (Authentic Belgian waffles with countless sweet and savory topping options.) Get the pizza waffle!!
All the places are counter service like McDonald's except instead of a number you get a buzzer. And once you finish with your food, you're expected to bus your own tray and plate. Which is fine but every single store asks you to tip which seems a bit presumptuous.
In summary, definitely an up market food hall with lots of interesting food stalls and a great bar. Because of this it is on the pricier side but with it to grab something to eat before heading to the...
