I will admit, when I first started F45 7 months ago I was terrified. I really wanted to change my lifestyle so I was seeking out some group fitness classes. At that point, I hadn't been to a gym in 10 years, mostly because of my gym anxiety and only having negative past experiences.
I went with F45 and am grateful to them and their team that helped changed my outlook on fitness as all of the coaches there are not only knowledgable, but very encouraging and supportive while you're out there testing your limits. They're very proactive in reading the room, giving modifications and any tips to help make sure that everyone in the class is working out efficiently and safely. For someone who was a novice, I've truly depended on each and every one of them.
I also enjoy the convenience of not needing to plan a workout routine or doing the same thing over and over again. Every class is different and they mix up the formula every few weeks or so, so it never gets old. What also helps is that everyone is assigned to various stations each with different workouts, so trust me when I say no one is ever judging you and better yet there aren't any mirrors to see yourself looking rough, LOL. It is tough, but you can alter the workouts and make them easier for you as needed. Most important thing is being consistent and everything else will follow.
Not to mention, the music playlist is always on point! Good way to tune everything out and just focus on yourself.
If you're thinking about trying F45, just take the leap. I'm glad that I did and haven't looked back.
Shout out to all of these amazing coaches who helped me enjoy working out again: Alvaro, Bryce, Gracie, Haley, Kendrick, Sarah,...
Read morei recently moved to houston from oklahoma for law school and was having a hard time balancing fitness between all my readings. before f45, my workouts consisted of weight lifting and hot yoga. however, i've noticed my strength start to plateau and physique regress due to a busier schedule and not being able to get a full workout in/make it to the gym. this led me to look into other alternatives, and i've really liked my experience at f45 so far! it's a lot closer to where i live than my previous gym, to the point i choose to walk to my workouts for some light cardio. and with each workout being 45 mins, there's really no excuse for me to miss. the workouts are efficient and fun, and saves me the brain power of having to plan my own circuits since each class is different and laid out for you. the coaches are very supportive and know you by name, and the other people attending the classes with you really feel like a community. this has only been my second week, so not seeing any personal progress yet, but i've definitely been enjoying my time here and am hoping to burn off this law school weight! i would definitely recommend at least trying a class and seeing...
Read moreLove this F-45 location!!! I’m new to the F45 community/culture but as soon as I tried my first class with a friend who’s already a member I was hooked! Everyone was friendly and made an effort to welcome me to their gym family. Some people are still shy but for the most part most members try to say hi or make conversation with you.
I also enjoy that the workout is planned ahead of time and all I have to worry about is showing up. When I initially started going I thought parking would be an issue but from what I understand you can park in the lot that’s right next to the studio because it’s a shared lot.
The studio is kind of small but I haven’t had any issues with feeling overcrowded or unsafe. The trainers seem to space out the exercise stations in a way that doesn’t make you feel like you’re on top of your neighbor or about to hit them.
I have to warn/say that the studio does have a bit of a rustic/rugged “vibe” to it lol. But I personally like that. I just felt like I might need to mention it if you’re the type that doesn’t like a warehouse style gym.
There’s also a filtered water station and bathroom with a shower.
I would recommend...
