Update: well today takes the cake! Checked in at curbside pick up. I sat in spot 3 for 30 minutes before I received an email that my order had been picked up. I was slightly surprised since nobody appeared to be coming but waited another 15 minutes. Someone finally came out to bring an order to another customer at the curbside pick up and I asked about my order. Glenn stated he was helping another customer and shooed me away with his hands..
I stated I had been waiting 45 minutes and had been emailed that my order has been picked up, but nobody has ever come out and handed me anything. He said he had no idea and wandered back into store... I called customer service and spent another 20 minutes on the phone. Finally, someone brought my stuff out to curbside but the entire experience, took an hour. For curbside pick up!?? Customer service level negative 10!
Another online order shipped to the Galleria location missing items. Frustrating to use curbside pickup and to be handed the tiniest bag for an order of multiple items that clearly wouldnāt fit in such a tiny bag for maybe a watch or sunglasses. When I told Glen at curbside pickup that items were missing he stated he had nothing to do with the package. Thatās great but an order received by the Hidalgo location can Only have returns or refunds processed inside THAT store and NOT ONLINE because it wasnāt shipped to your home but the store itself.. I know this after shopping here a while but why is the staff not aware? If you work in curbside for online orders shouldnāt you be trained on how to handle missing items? I returned the entire order after having to park and go all the way to the 3rd floor to finally find someone who knew what they were supposed to do to process a refund. I question why I even continue to shop here.š¤¦āāļø
I returned a pair of jeans by mail, not knowing it would take over eight weeks for the credit to show up on my card. Eight weeks really?!!!
I also made an online purchase that was delivered to the store, and an item was missing. I picked up 12 things and a small pair of earrings were not in the box. The lady in the store told me to call customer service & customer service told me it needed to be handled in the store if it was delivered to the store..SMH
Although they do accept returns somewhat easily, if youāre going to shop here, be very careful making a return and donāt do it via the post office and beware shopping online because they will charge you and not mail you things and give you the runaround in the store and on the phone when you ask where your items are or your refund.
They also have a pretty strict pick up policy for online purchases that is 5 days even during holidays. They will return your items after that time period and you will have to order them all over again.
Additionally if the Galleria location is the location set to fill your online order and their store doesnāt find the item instead of shipping from a different store they cancel the items. Sometimes days later. Seems like poor business if the items are still available online and other things are coming from multiple places to the store from your online order. Other stores have yet to cancel orders but the Galleria...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStarted shopping at Nordstroms in ā92, and pretty much exclusively over 20 years. Nordstrom is all about products and service. Superb service, superb products and materials. Their buyers have always been excellent with a discerning and discriminating eye.
The last two years things have definitely changed.
Purchasing agents are less discriminating, floor is overwhelmed with too many clothes, like a Burlington Coat Factory, or Macyās.
Cheap plastic hangers make a huge difference in feel and cheapen the experience. *I know this sounds like a nitpick, but the difference is surprisingly powerful. It cheapens the entire experience. Itās a much bigger change than one might imagine as it is both a visual and tactile change. Somehow picking up a sports coat on a flexing, plastic hanger, and seeing a price tag of $1200, makes me put it back immediately. Not because of the price, but because of the sensation that I get picking up the hanger, I already feel like Iām looking at a cheap product because of the hanger, and so when I see the higher price well it immediately feels like itās not worth it.
The service has always been stellar, and it is one of the most important factor for me. My wife and I went to get her some cloths for a party, we grabbed Atriece (whose name Iām sure Iāve totally misspelled ) and she took absolutely perfect care of us. We bought about $1000 worth of clothes and went downstairs to pick up some shoes. We left without shoes because the associates in the department said they couldnāt really find any in size 11. The told us how few 11ās they get, made my wife feel GREAT about her big feet. My mother went in the next morning, worked with one of her normal associates, brought home 4 of the choices she was presented with, all size 11.
The sales associate, and the people he consulted, were simply too lazy to look for the size 11s for us. iām unhappy about it in fact Iām very unhappy about it because they basically sold us $1000 worth of clothes and left us hanging without the ability to finish the outfit one day before a party. And they did it because they were too lazy to look. They just didnāt value us...

Marc went above and beyond to help me find a pair of shoes for a wedding where I was a bridesmaidā in a sequined, white dress (brides orders.) Iād been having such a hard time finding something practical, that fit the dress, and that I could rewear. I came in the night before I was to fly out, a couple hrs from close, exhausted from trying to find things on my own. I asked him to please help me pick a gold shoe for the dress in a 9.5 and that I had no decision making bone in my body. He kindly brought me 3 or so options, we tried them on, he asked me to walk in them and I was on my way. He did in 30 mins what I couldnāt do in 3 weeks. As someone with chronic (invisible) mobility issues, I donāt think he really knew how much his help meant to me that night. I was feeling awful that night and in a lot of pain/discomfort. He really saved the entire event in the 11th hour.
Samantha, is a doer, both kind and efficient. Any time Iāve had a question or needed accommodations, she did so without hesitation and with this sort of gentle kindness. Today, my curbside was a little late coming out, I called to check to see if I should come in to get it instead (its the anniversary weekend and they are SOO busy,) but she said no worries, apologized for the wait and brought my items and a couple of snacks out for the wait. Again, above and beyond. I appreciate her efficiency, while still being pleasant. Thatās not always easy.
Things are so crazy these days. I am writing this review because I do not want to take their kindness and help for granted. You never really know how much youāre helping someone, but these two have quite literally made my day at times. I hope Nordstrom Corp sees this and does something special for them. They are great representatives...
