I took a sterling silver ring here that I got for my anniversary in February to be resized (and I brought it the day after I got the ring so it was brand new). When I went to pick up the ring, the sizing was perfect. When I got to my car I noticed my stone was completely discolored and brown, and had a good sized crack in it. I immediately brought it back in and the owner tried to play it off as glue and that it would āwear off over timeā. When the guy who did the resizing came over, he noticed the crack and let me leave it with them again to fix it. 30 minutes later I get a call back that the stone is definitely damaged and they will replace it for me for free. I was upset, but happy they were willing to fix it. Fast forward a month later, I notice the new stone they put in is now loose and wiggling in the setting. The glue completely detached from the stone and one of the prongs is visibly detached from the stone. When I called to talk to them about this the woman on the phone gave me nothing but attitude. At this point, I donāt even want to bother with them trying to fix it since I feel like this will just happen again. So now Iām left with a practically broken ring and I have no clue where to bring it to get fixed so I can pour more money into it. Is the ring the most fancy thing in the world? Absolutely not, but it is a sturdy sterling silver ring that means a lot to me and I wish I never brought here to be resized in the first place. The man who does the repairs has great customer service but the older man who I believe is the owner seemed to try and make every excuse possible to blame me for the damage before admitting it was on them. Iām heartbroken and angry and will not be stepping foot back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is referencing a purchase over a year ago. My wife went in to purchase a watch on a tight budget for my birthday. I assume that the guidance in the store was acceptable, but misleading. They sold her a cheap quality watch for more than double other retailers. I disliked the watch, and made an attempt to return it, as I wouldn't wear the cheap costume jewelry. Even with a receipt for a purchase 5 days prior, and the girl behind the counter remembering my wife, they refused a refund, only store credit. I would have used that, but there was nothing in the store that I would wear. I just wanted a simple refund for an unopened, unused item (we're not talking thousands of dollars). A year later, I still have a disdain for them taking advantage of my wife, and not taking back their own product. I'd try and resell the watch online, but brand new is less than half of what we spent. I'm writing this review a year later, as i just found the watch in a drawer, and think others should be aware. Businesses survive by making a profit, but should stand behind...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGregory's is more than excellent! Everybody at this store is over the top helpful and professional. Angie, Cheryl and Troy! Troy is the certified jeweler who took a diamond I had inherited from an engagement setting and custom made a necklace for me. I brought him in a picture and he replicated it precisely!! In fact, he changed a portion of the design to make the piece even more beautiful!! Troy has excellent communication skills and we went over exactly what I wanted down to the curvature of the piece and the symmetry! I am over the moon happy with this piece....AND with everything they have done with other jewelry I brought in. They cleaned every piece beautifully; sized a ring and even fixed a few of the stones I did not know even needed fixing! They have a professional on staff who is skilled at re-stringing pearls which I also had done. And their prices were fair. Needless to say, absolutely go to Gregory's for all your...
