I’ve only been once so far, and definitely plan to revisit but this is my feedback.
Overall the place seems nice. The atmosphere reminds of a club lounge - dimly lit with LED color lights accenting. When I went, the staff working were friendly. They made themselves available if we needed help. Offered to make recommendations if we needed, and checked in frequently with us at the computer. At the time I went, there were surprisingly a lot of options to choose from, but that meant I needed to take more time to look at what was available. The offers to help were great, but felt like it interrupted my ability to see on my own what products they had. I may recommend dialing back the inventory options just a bit or giving people a little more space/time to review the options before the staff go up to you multiple times to see if they can help. You can also preorder online and do pickup but I prefer to physically be in the store.
On the computer where the products were listed, there was a lot of imagery that did not align with the products being offered/the picture of the product itself was not the first picture listed with what was being offered. I’m not sure if this was commissioned artwork, artwork provided by the companies, AI, or just a stylistic choice made by the business. I prefer to see the label of the product/the product on the image first as I am a visual person and it is helpful to be able to better remember and recognize what I liked and didn’t like. I also thought it was a little distracting and in combination with the quantity of options that were available and the atmosphere, the in person browsing experience is overwhelming and overstimulating.
When it comes to product and pricing I’m a bit 50/50 here. I think the rates and variety for edibles are pretty competitive. I do think, however, the flower pricing is just a little high. The average price here for 1/8 is in the $55-60 range, whereas there are other places you can go to get similar strains or THC concentration in the $45-55 range. For 1/4 the average is about $85-95 but again at other places I can get the same quantity/quality in the $55-75 range. Even the pre-roll pricing is higher with a range of $15-20 for 1g. I am assuming that location is playing a factor here considering it’s right off the Grove St stop and is surrounded by popular bars in the area.
I cannot attest to negative staff behavior as I went during the day after work when the sun was still out. Everyone was friendly. I think it’s important to remember that this facility is open until 11pm and near popular bars, which could mean that behavior by the patrons in that area could be having an effect on the attitude of the staff. I’ve worked in customer facing jobs before and I know people can be terrible, especially drunk people, so I think visitors should take the feedback about the staff with a grain of salt and actually visit the place to have your...
Read moreI had gone here with my neighbor on 4/7. It's a very friendly place. The paintings on the walls are colorful. I didn't know exactly what they meant. The music was very loud. My neighbor bought some medicine. I was holding the money because I always carry a purse. The 3 came at 60$ each. It was so VERY loud! I gave the young woman 10 20$ bills. It was VERY loud. I was given back 4$. I felt confused. The order was 176$ but, I gave the whole 10-20's. I got back 4$. I said there was a mistake with the cash. I said that I gave 200$. I was told that I did not. She was very sweet. I told her about a competitive business. But, I know that I payed with all of the 20$'s that I had. I didn't want to press the issue. She was so sweet and informative. I didn't want to have tension with a sweet girl. That cash draw had to be over by 20$. The place is extremely colorful and everyone wants to help you. I will give more stars. I didn't want a bad relationship. My neighbor was outside so I put in my own 20$ plus the 4$. It was my fault. It wasn't done on purpose. It was just way too loud. This is a great place. They will offer to help you. They will offer suggestions too. I wish that I was good with names. Everyone is superb! BTW, I took the bus with my neighbor. I enjoyed walking around that day. This place is in a great convenient area. It's a bit like the village. Next time, I won't be handing over the money. Again, it was a mistake. Nobody tried to deceive me. This place is really awesome inside. Go and check it out for yourself! It really is cool. Plus, it is neat and tidy. It smelled like vanilla to me. I hope that they thrive for years and years! Please, go...
Read moreThey will literally short change you. Bad business practice. Their policy is that they don't give change. No matter what the amount is, in principle this is a terrible bad faith transaction. The cashier was pretty arrogant and dismissive about it. "Well we don't give change, we round up or down, next time know this." Well there won't be a next time as this is the opposite of good faith transaction. Where is the signage of disclosure? And how arrogant and lazy this is. They just lost a potential long term customer and I'm sure to tell my circle of friends. I'll simply go somewhere else. By the way huge dispensaries and marjority of all regular businesses do transactions properly, in good faith.
Initially, the gentleman who greeted me was very nice and cordial. He gets an A. However, as mentioned this policy in principle is basically terrible and is in bad faith. There is no disclosure. It is incredibly insulting to attempt to shame someone to simply ask for proper change. For those who work for a living, what if your employer decided to round down your hours and/or pay check just a little, every pay check? That would be dishonest. So this place gets an F. What a short sighted...
