To be fair, I wrote to the company before posting any negative reviews:
To Whom it May Concern,
After reviewing your company, I chose to have LPS as my videographers for the most special day of our lives thus far, and I am very disappointed to say that I am beyond infuriated at the results. I have reviewed my venue, DJ, photographers, and florist all with 5 stars and I want to express my concerns and intense anger with LPS before going public with reviews on various sources.
First off, in the contract the videographers were suppose to stay until 11pm, which I paid extra for. I saw them pack up early the night of, but waited to receive the raw footage to ensure my assumptions were accurate. Per the contract, they were suppose to be there for 9.5 hours, and the itinerary reviewed the exact times. Breaching a contract is not something I would imagine could be a positive look for a company when people are looking at reviews with mass competition.
Next, the most unique part of our ceremony was coming out from the top of the stairs and each walking down the steps to meet in the center. We even practiced it 30 minutes prior to the ceremony in which the videographers were there to witness! How they missed that significance boggles my mind!! Why didn’t they capture that very special part of our ceremony?!
Lastly, I don’t understand how it took 6 months to edit with how awfully it turned out. We played it for our family, in which our nephew is in college for film and laughed at how terrible the editing was with angles and transitions between scenes. In addition, I had to REMIND the company to send our videos/hard drive! Irresponsibility and unprofessional to say the least.
I know we had to pay in full in order to even see how bad it could be. Had I known I would’ve never went through with it, but then again we had a contract so I full filled my end. Clearly, your company has not and I would like some explanations and how something can be arranged for the breached contract, regardless of the horrible edits/loss of scenes that we can never get back.
Thank you for your attention,
With this the CEO basically called me a liar and sticking my his company’s employees. Not that I wanted to get the employees in trouble, just sharing how flatly awful the whole video production was. I clearly am not a liar being I even waited to get the raw footage to ensure my assumptions were 100% accurate. Further, I completely understand the length of time it takes for an edit, but the edit we got was terrible with the cuts and angles. My overall biggest disappointment was the fact we practiced the ceremony at The Palace (our beautiful venue) while they were present and they didn’t think to position themselves for our grand unique entrance. Oh and the fact I’m for certain they left early because I specifically picked the song “What a Night” by Four Seasons and did a special last dance with my dad.
They get a 1 star because the highlight came out good after...

PHOTOGRAPHY: When I asked to see a bunch of LPS photographers' portfolios, I immediately fell in love with Nathan's work and was so happy to find that he was available. The shot itself, the angle, the color..I loved it all and was so excited to have similar shots of my special day. During our meetings, he asked all the right questions and was very detail-oriented about our day so he knew what he was walking into. On our actual wedding day, he was very patient- even willing to do some poses my camera-loving husband was throwing out there and was just down to having fun with us the whole time. Having gotten all the photos back, I just have 2 things that I wish was done differently. 1) I wish we were able to capture more from our pre-wedding night. We did a whole photoshoot at the very beginning of the event in our first outfit but our second outfit which was supposed to be the show-stopper, didn't get as much coverage. 2) I wish some of the shots had better angles and were more symmetrical. Some shots to me weren't framed in the center as well as they could have. For example: the photo frame or whatever object was in the background wasn't centered, we weren't in the direct middle of some group photos, and I didn't see a good straight-on shot of some things like our welcome signs or the reception stage. Nonetheless we still had over 200 perfect images that I will cherish forever. Overall, I really enjoyed working with Nathan. His professionalism was top-notch and the quality of his work matches. My two cons are something that could easily be communicated and sorted out in the meetings prior to your event so I would definitely still recommend him for your special day, just make sure you explain your vision well and you will be pleased. VIDEOGRAPHY: We elected for the 10-12 minute Cinematic Highlight video part of the Epic package. When we received the video back, me and my husband were quite disappointed and expected more. Our first draft was a mess and required a lot of edits. Most of the video was caught at a weird angle, they selected poor snippets of speeches, and had awkward speed transitions. They will give you all the raw individual clips on a drive but it costs an additional $2-3K if you want a full 60 minute video which is quite pricey if you ask me. TAKE AWAY: Definitely recommend for photography but if we could go back in time, we probably would rethink the videography portion of...
Read moreFrom our initial call with Live Picture Studios, I knew they were the right vendor for our big day. They were so professional during our initial meeting - explaining each package and what would fit best for our timeline. They were one of the only vendors who actually asked us what WE were looking for instead of the other way around, and having a husband in sales, he greatly appreciated the personalized approach. We loved how LPS offered everything we were looking for - videography coverage, drone options, a short video and an extended long video. Their documentation and contracts were very detailed, which made us feel even more confident in our choice! As our big day started, we met with the team and went over the plan for the day, and then they began shooting! I loved their different angles and equipment used, which got us such unique shots for the videos! Our short video was delivered SO quickly, and it was such a great experience to get to pick the song the video would play to. After the short video was sent, they got right to work on the longer version - which included a form we got to fill out to go over specifics we wanted to add into the video, song choices, and time spent on each different moment. The final video FAR exceeded what we expected - everyone who watches it say it is done like a professional movie! We can't stop watching both videos -- and the UBS drive they sent us with all the raw footage from our big day is such a great add on to relive the big day in the future. Thank you...
