Horrible Place to Stay::here is my experience.
The apartment was clean. However, it charges 80$ cleaning fee which doesn't make any sense for a short stay. I paid this much amount after staying in an apt for 3 years :)..
Location is fine if you plan to use PATH train to go to NY.
Staff was exceptionally GREEDY and CUNNING. My flight was a bit late from the check out time. I wasn't renting a Car. Hence, I was in need for this place to keep my 2 check baggages. When I contacted the reception, I was told they cannot keep luggage. They said building is big and if we keep such luggage, this it's not possible...Then, he said if you rent a car to airport from him, he can keep the luggage for me. I denied the car and contacted another associate. She said this guy owns/works in a cab company. That made the picture clear to me. But, she said she is not allowed by hotel policy to keep any luggage. Luckily both these folks were not present during my check-out. So, another associate said i can easily use their baggage storage service which is free of cost. And, many ppl do that. They even had locks/arrangements to keep the luggage safe.
So, in short, 3 ppl said all different things. And, one smart person :) was trying to sell/force his cab under the hotel property. If the owner is aware of such incidents and still have kept him in this job, owner doesn't care about his guests. If owner is not aware of this, I am going to call him soon to make aware of such...
Read moreLive the Dream at Liberty Harbor! If your dream is to pay way too much in rent for unresponsive staff, rude neighbors, barf on the sidewalk every weekend, constant fire alarms, trash everywhere, and speeding drivers through the ostensibly private streets, you will love it!
The people who live here don't even care about the neighborhood - there is so much unscooped dog poop in the dog park, it's a health hazard. There is half-completed construction everywhere, and barely any communication from staff, about anything, at any time. Safety hazards abound but you're on your own!
The roads are 'private property' so you can't get a Jersey City parking sticker, but the parking rules are never enforced. Fire hydrants are routinely blocked and people drive like MANIACS in what is a residential area. There is a daycare and an elementary school in the neighborhood the whole setup is a tragedy waiting to happen.
There's a monopoly on resident internet provider: it has to be purchased through a Liberty Harbor subsidiary. This is probably one of those 'legal in Jersey' things and the service is terrible.
At least one elevator is out of service at all times. Your parking spot will be nowhere near your actual apartment.
So if this is your idea of a dream, then this...
Read moreDO NOT move here if you enjoy a quiet apartment.
This building would’ve been a decent apartment if it wasn’t for the beer garden directly underneath the building blasting music every Thurs- Sun (sometimes the whole week if there is an event). The volume and bass from the live bands/DJs vibrates throughout the building that is STILL audible through ear plugs and a white noise machine. Think they also got a new sound system too so it’s been even louder recently. Keep in mind they are open as early as 12pm and as late as 3am…
I’ve tried to get this resolved with property management for MONTHS with no resolution. The most they offered was to install “sound panels” to absorb the bass in my bedroom which was literally 4 pieces of foam underneath my bed frame and it did nothing. It was just something you had to unfortunately put up with. On top of that, the walls are pretty thin where you still hear dogs barking, people’s voices, foot steps, music, etc.
Besides that, the concierge and maintenance was great and always willing to help out...
