I am very surprised by the negative reviews here. We moved here from California this past summer and I can't begin to tell you how thankful we are for Gray School for our 12 year old and Boone High for our 3 high schoolers. The teachers genuinely love our kids and put a lot of effort and expertise into helping them succeed. The kids are thriving and are involved in Sports, Clubs, ROTC and have made amazing friends. I love that my kids have become more respectful (has to be the amazing NE Tennessee culture). The Director of Washington county schools is a coward. "Whatever the parent wants" is all she could reply to the news media when asked about the beatings of young people under her watch during corporal punishment rituals in backward schools. So if a parent desired their offspring bound and beaten would she also comply? She could help STOP the violence being offered to begin with, and by not doing so SHE is responsible for every single incident of harm and every victim of this violence in Washington county schools.
