I have an older GMC and could not find anyone with a blank to make me a duplicate. In addition, I have a used wheelchair lift and when I bought it, they only had one key and I was told it would be "easy" to get a duplicate online - nope.
After nearly two years of trying to get these two keys in JC, I ordered the GMC's blanks online and decided to drive over to Jonesborough's Olde Towne Lock and Key as my hubby said they came highly recommended.
I wanted an experienced key person to make the key duplicates and I couldn't find any shop in JC - not sure what the heck is going on there. Anyway, I was greeted by what looked like an old gas station - went in and there were 2 other customers and more after me (hidden secret)? lol
Everyone was pleasant and got my car's duplicate made with no problems and asked if they might have the key to the wheelchair lift? The key guy looked at his blanks, handed me one and said see if this fits the lock? It did and he cut it AND it worked. I went in and ordered two more and walked out super happy!!!
I always worred what if I lost the only key to my car and the wheelchair lift I would have had to pay a mobile locksmith to come and figure it out or change out the locks. So worth the drive over to Olde Towne. Came home and told the hubby and he said, "I told you to go a long...

I was ready to spend half of that at Olde Towne Lock and Key. However, I left today, 15 minutes after I arrived, with a perfect working fob replacement, and it didn't even cost $40 dollars! If I ever need any kind of lock or key work done, I will be back, 100%. They are kind, friendly, super knowledgeable, and above all...
