Gem palace — Local services in Juneau

My mom and I spent the day in Juneau! Toured the city and did some shopping. We stumbled upon Gem Palace! The reality is in the name. They are a Gem!! Henry and his wife along with the other associates are kind, friendly, welcoming and most importantly they show they care! It was a hot day and my mom, almost 91 years old had worn too many layers. We stopped in front of their store to take some layers off. Henry’s wife invited us in so she could cool down in the a/c and offered her water. They were impressed with my mom’s physical well being and still smart wit! We decided to look at a few things. My mom found a beautiful amethyst ring, I bought a bracelet for my daughter and some pearl earrings for my daughter in law! Henry the owner wanted me to get hoop or dangle earrings so badly because I was a challenge! My whole life my ears have been flat against my head and I’ve NEVER been able to wear hoops or straight dangles because they point outward, not hang nicely down. I was Henry’s challenge.. he tried all sorts of earrings and tricks/tips to no avail! I had a great time, my mom loved the store and the family! You want BEAUTIFUL jewelry at every price point, fair and honest… go the Gem Palace. You will not be disappointed!’ We will be back next year and they will be our first stop in Juneau! Henry, the owner is incredibly down-to-earth and attentive. He took the time to understand our likes, dislikes, and personal preferences, which made the entire experience feel thoughtful and personalized. We also had the pleasure of meeting his wonderful family while browsing, which added a warm and welcoming touch.

I don’t usually shop for jewelry for myself, but Henry showed me some truly unique pieces that I genuinely loved. He and his wife went above and beyond to help both me and my wife find beautiful items that perfectly matched our individual styles. Their care, insight, and attention to detail made the experience unforgettable....

Went in to kill time and pick up some inexpensive gifts they advertised. Showed us expensive stuff of course but was very friendly and happy to sell us a much less expensive silver ring, pendant, earrings with the "northern lights" gems, and some silver chains. His stuff looked excellent and was definitely a way better deal than whatever the cruise ship offered and even the other shops we saw in town. Nice family business not recommended by the ship or part of some corporate mega company- which is exactly why I'm glad we went.
