Salon Sophia — Local services in Kansas City

I traveled to KC last minute to attend a memorial service. I wasn’t able to get an appointment with my stylist in Boston before departing so was scrambling to find an appointment that could accommodate me last minute for a cut and color. Luckily, I stumbled upon excellent reviews for Salon Sophia and reached out.

I spoke to Maggie who was amazingly kind and understanding. She was able to book me in for a color and cut in a Saturday with less than 2 weeks notice.

When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by my stylist Ron and offered a beverage. Despite being an out of town client, I was treated like a regular. Ron did an outstanding job dealing with my resistant grays. His attention to detail was amazing, his color application was immaculate (no dark brown halo left around my hairline) and my cut was superb. Maggie also did a wonderful job shaping my brows- no pain and no redness!

Anddddd......it takes a village to take care of my hair. Both Maggie and Ron tag teamed on coloring, cutting, and styling my long hair. I have been coming here for the last 6 years and they are hands down the best at knowing color, cutting, styling (even doing an updo for a wedding) and being personal, uplifting advisors of life. I love this husband and wife team. They run not only a five star service, but are there to lift you up when you need the positive vibes and encouragement. Thank you for being the BEST salon in KC, MO. They are well worth coming into for getting your hair done and with you leaving feeling like a million bucks. I can't thank them enough for working me in at a last minute notice. They go up and beyond what other salons do; which is that they completely are a customer service oriented business. I feel like I won the lottery in finding this salon. It was by chance my daughter and I walked in because we were in Kansas city visiting and at the Country club plaza.Ron gave me the best haircut of my life. .he knew immediately how to cut and style my hair. It took years of of me .I had to drive far but I came back to get my hair colored and cut again by Ron. He did another amazing job. Maggie his wife worked on my eyebrows and she made my eyebrows look the best ever too. I highly recommend this salon. I understand why their business has such great reviews..they both really know their jobs so well and they were both so kind and easy to get a last minute appointment with!
