Megan is the best! My wife and I went with our two daughters, after having waited for 11 months after it opened in Kansas City. We just didn't care to brave the lines we had heard of. So today, going at a solidly off hour (3PM), we gave it a shot. I had heard a lot of people say it was "just a burger", so I hadn't built any crazy expectations.
I was really blown away. I mean, yes, it is just a burger, but I can also appreciate when someone perfect something that is a staple like that, and they certainly do. The burgers are delicious, drenched in fully-melted cheese, the way the Cheeseburger Gods intended. Their potato buns are the other half of the wonderful flavor. I didn't get any Shacksauce, but my wife said she didn't even taste hers.
Speaking of my wife, she got the burger with a Portobello mushroom on top. She said it was perfectly cooked and filled with cheese. Speaking of cheese, their cheese fries are also superb. It's been a very long time since I've had cheesy fries with REAL CHEESE on them that also was melty. Normally, you get super processed cheese that's melty, or real cheese that's just shredded cheese that ends up coming in place and then you're peeling it off the box to eat it. This cheese is real, and it's melty enough to dip your fries. We also got chicken nuggets for our daughter, and they were very good. They didn't blow me away, but you won't be disappointed.
And Megan? Megan turned a great meal into an experience. She helped keep our daughters occupied and happy. She asked us about our for and replaced one item when we realized we got the wrong thing. Our 6-year-old wants to go back just to see her! And I could see that it wasn't just us. She was floating around the whole restaurant making sure everyone was happy. Read moreWe came at 9:23, they close at 10. We were done and out by 10:03. We waited 3 minutes at the front before someone even came up to the register. When we got our food, despite saying that I wanted a double twice, the lady rang me up for a hamburger. When our food came out they called for #37, our number was #48, the lady at the register (later found out she was the manager) put in the wrong # for us. We eventually got our food.
I let the lady at expo know I ordered a double, she said I had to go back to the line and order another hamburger. By this point the line was 10 minutes and it was not my mistake. I asked her if she was serious and she said hold on, I will go talk to the manager. She came back and said they were going to give me an extra beef patty to put on my hamburger. The original patty on my burger was thin and dry. At this point such a bad experience I said fine. Five minutes later she hands me a cooked patty on a bun.
Following the hamburger incident, we then asked the lady at expo for ketchup and mustard, she gave a spicy mayo type sauce. We had a to ask again, she gave 1 ketchup and a few mustard for 3 people. We had to ask for more, only to be told we were getting the last one as they ran out of ketchup for the day.
Needless to say this is our first and last experience here. We spent 50 dollars for 3 sandwiches, 2 fries and 2 shakes, had to wait at the register to order, got our order wrong, got the condiments wrong, were out of condiments. It...

So why 4 stars ?.. simple,.. there is a new manager there named alexis, that is by far one of the most charismatic individuals I've ever encountered. She was prompt, considerate, and empathetic throughout the entire duration of my visit to this establishment. She is also an amazingly beautiful woman who definitely knows how to blind you with her smile and melt you with her charms,.. but most importantly,.. she just genuinely listens and learns from you as the customer, in stead of trying to do standard " damage control" like alot of other people in the service industry in a similar position. If you're going to be adventurous and try this place,.. you'd better call ahead and make sure shes there , it's the only way I genuinely in good conciousness can recommend this restuarant at any time.
