Whenever I'm new in town, always running fast takes me to taco trucks. Texas should have some of the best. Mostly, that was true.

I grabbed a bite at this one while looking for breakfast burritos.

Location: backed in behind a larger industrial bldg, parking can be challenging I suspect, but I was fine.

Ambiance: typical truck style, but it was clean. And there's a nice even structure across from It to hide from the Sun. They had a fairly loud sound system playing good Mexican music.

Menu: typical Taco truck Fair; tacos and meat choice, several kinds of good looking quesadilla , tortas (my personal fav), plates with a entree choice and beans and rice, and a surprise, various fish plates. I was tempted by the fish.

Food: as mentioned, I was tempted by the fish plate. Having traveled for a week, I wanted something a little lighter and healthier. You can see the picture above, it included some grilled shrimp. It was actually quite good. It was served with fresh steamed vegetables, rice, and a salad. It was actually quite flavorful and I enjoyed it. But I couldn't help but wonder if I chose the wrong item. As other things came out from the kitchen, they look so amazing. The question I always ask, would I go back? The answer is yes. But I wouldn't try the fish. I already did something a little more traditional. While it was good, I can't quite go five stars. Also don't mistake the picture for not being good. Portions were very healthy and I couldn't finish it. It was also the worldly of the day. This was kind of...

Great taco truck to eat at.

The location itself is in an odd place, in front of the Katy Furniture store, but it serves well for this small establishment. They have their own hut set up for customers to eat at, complete with ceiling fans. (Although it is still hot inside the hut on hot days) Each table has its own paper towel holder, salt and pepper shaker and hand sanitizer. Two fridges are within the hut, one of which has salsa that customers are free to grab for their meal. The salsa has stickers on it that says the date it was made and its suggested best by date. Parking isn't the best at the place, but there is a larger parking lot a short walk away for when it is busy. A large speaker near the hut plays Latino music (the ranchero kind). Customer service is great, with staff even walking your food out to the table.

I tried the Burrito de Pastor, the shrimp and fish tacos, the Quessobirria, and the Carne asada tacos. My favorite meat out of all of them was the pastor meat. Soft and tender with a good flavor. I also recommend the Carne asada. Generally I try to avoid this meat because it tends to have lots of cartilage and fat, but the Carne asada from this taco place was very clean. The shrimp and fish was pretty plain, but with added salsa, lime juice and toppings can become a good dish. The quesobirria was too greasy for my liking, but that is something characteristic of quesobirria so not surprising.

Overall, would recommend trying out this...

Decided to try a new taco truck for #tacotuesday and ended up here based on their reviews. The menu has a good selection and they answered my questions about items not listed on the menu. From what I could see the food truck appeared clean, however they weren't wearing masks. (Just an FYI for those that prefer chefs & staff that wear masks when dining out). I went w/ the Pollo, Pastor and Beef Fajita flour tacos w/ a side of refried beans and rice. In 10mins my order was ready and I was asked which type of salsa I prefer. I checked my order in the car and noticed they forgot to include the beef fajita taco. I walked back to the window and the lady taking orders apologized and immediately made my beef fajita taco. I will say they are a little pricier than the other taco trucks I've frequented BUT the food was worth every penny. The rice wasn't your typical mexican rice, it was very flavorful and had chopped carrots, it was also yellowish in color vs orangish like most other places served. It was some of the best rice I've had. The refried beans were also really good and had white cheese on top. All 3 of my tacos were DELICIOUS. They were so well seasoned and had so much flavor! I would definitely visit this place again. I took off 1 star bc the portions are small, but overall I'm satisfied...
