Here, there were minimal smiles, but staff did their basic job-duties. I got what I needed, paid, and left in a timely manner. Clothing was organized poorly, and re-shelved correctly in some areas. The clearance section was badly disorganized. I found children’s pants in the womens pants, so I did get on my knees at one point to dig for the one pair of size Large Wide-leg trousers, and they are now my favs. A little effort does go a long way. Less effort on the part of the customers, and a little more effort on the staff would be helpful. Three stars indicates good, not excellent, or exemplary.
This is an economy clothing department store, and cash register attendants aren’t expected to go above and beyond, but it’s nice when it happens. They may be better served in BOH position, but perhaps they weren’t having the best day. I’d like to give them the benefit of the doubt. It did feel almost as though I was doing more work to bring up the moods of the clerks than the latter, but that’s on me. I do understand that the service industry is a particularly terrible industry at times and many patrons are quite unreasonable with their expectations.

Read moreI had the most humiliating experience today that I would like to state has been resolved by a DIFFERENT location that doesn’t treat people disrespectfully.
I tried to return items that didn’t fit that I had bought at this location less than 48 hours before. They were in immaculate unwashed and unworn condition. I waited 20 minutes in line and this girl at the register asked me if they’d been worn and I said no. She said they smelled and I (humiliated as there was a line of people hearing her say my clothes smelled without explanation) was like… the bag was sitting on my dryer for a day maybe it’s the dryer sheet smell as I do laundry often. She said no these look very worn and smell I can’t return this sorry have a nice day. I stood there kinda shocked and she said ughh did you want an old navy bag to take them out in since they were not in one when you came in? I took the bag. And my clothes, drove 30 minutes away for the other store to tell me it must have been a personal problem she was having with me because the clothes were in amazing condition and brand new.
They took my return, and exchanged things I needed and returned to a gift card even so I could find an item that wasn’t in my size at their location online later. Much better experience there.

I found a par of shorts I liked but there was no tag for the shorts in my size.. so I brought up the xl tag attached to the xl shorts along with my mediums. Tag says 7.99. She takes the XLs from me and tosses them over her head dramatically and enters in the item number on the clothes with no tag not the old navy tag itself as there is not one on my shorts. I don't notice until I get my receipt but she charged me 16.99. So I returned them she gave me back 11.95$ and acted like she gave me back 16$. She claims to have gone to cameras but there are no cameras at the register. She lied and told me she gave me back 3 5s. She gave me back 2. When I asked to speak to a manager her coworkers laughed and said she is the manager. I belive had I been the same skin color, I would not have been racially profiled and discriminated against or lied to. She was beyond rude and STOLE from me. I hope she loses her job.
