I recently had an incredible experience with Silver & Gold in Key West that truly deserves recognition. I purchased a beautiful necklace for my girlfriend from them, but unfortunately it started to tarnish within a year. When I reached out to the store, Sonny and Nancy — the owners — went above and beyond to help.

Sonny explained that sometimes the natural oils in a person’s skin can cause jewelry to tarnish faster, and after inspecting the necklace I sent back, he confirmed that was the case. Despite it not being a fault in the quality, Sonny and his amazing counterpart Nancy still replaced the necklace with a brand new one at no charge.

Not only that, but they also gave me practical advice on how to care for the necklace (and any other jewelry) going forward. Sonny recommended using Tarnex to remove any future tarnish quickly and showed me how dipping the old necklace cleaned it instantly.

It’s rare these days to find this level of customer service, honesty, and genuine care. Nancy and Sonny made the entire process easy and stress-free. If you need a laugh come on down to "Tin Foil & Zirconium." This clown tried to sell me a "gold" necklace for $700 LOL! It probably retails at 20 bucks. Their sign says 80% off on everything to hook you into checking it out. Very unscrupulous, tourist town scumbag business. The made up on the spot prices are an insult to the intelligence of anyone who has been inside a hospital gift shop. I've literally found jewelry of equal design and quality on Amazon for the value of $17.99. Outside their exceptionally bad customer service, there's nothing unique in this shop just generic ocean life jewelry you can find in any other place around town. Besides honest employees, this place could really use a hurricane.

My wife and I have been coming here for several years, and she has found some great opal pieces (her birthstone) that others have complemented her on. Nancy and Sonny are the nicest people in Key West and provides great advice and prices. I recently ordered a custom ring from them and have been very happy with the process so far. These guys are honest, helpful, and not pushy. We stop in every time we're in Key West to look over what they have and to say Hi. I picked up my custom-made ring today (Oct.2024) and am very happy - with the ring, the communication during its fabrication, and the price.
