Even besides the fact that this is a family-run, handmade, local gem (especially compared to run-of-the-mill Haagen Daz next door), their ice cream is simply INCREDIBLE. Maybe the best I’ve ever had. It’s handmade with all legit ingredients, made twice a day. You can see the Italian ice cream churners in the back. My boyfriend and I stopped in for the fair prices and fun display, and were pleasantly surprised by how silky, smooth, and flavorful both our ice creams were — he got Mint Chocolate Chip, I got Key Lime Pie. You could just taste how natural it was, very similar to ice cream in Europe. They even make the Key Lime ice cream with all real juice, NO syrup!! And not to mention prices were very reasonable considering they take credit cards with no minimum purchase.

As to comments of “ice chips,” there were some small white chocolate chips in the ice cream that I suppose could be mistaken as ice chips, but over the THREE different times we came back, we never once encountered ice chips. The ice cream we got was not creamy at all. It had an icy texture, which felt grainy and was just off-putting. We sought this place out because of the great reviews but it was some of the worst ice cream we have had. The cookies and cream was not blended. The vat was vanillla ice cream with some Oreos pressed on top. He would grab some of the oreo when scooping the ice cream and this somehow constituted “cookies and cram”. We also got the key lime ice cream, which had chunks in it that my teen would just spit out. We got double caramel, which had firm pieces in it that I wasn’t expecting (maybe shredded coconut…? One can only hope. It’s never fun when you don’t know what you’re consuming.).
