A true key west fishing expedition. Great captain that put us on the fish. Even when all the other boats in town said there were no mahi mahi around. Went with my parents and girlfriend. Our first mate Ross is life time key wester and was extremely knowledgeable about anything fishing and key west. ( your first mate works for tips 20% or more is customary fyi). Ross was a great teacher and had everyone catching fish even my mom. Capt. Craig has been a captain for 37 years and the experience shows. Had a great time on the boat and can not wait to come back down for my next fishing trip on the grand slam. They hit it out of the park on my trip. Thanks guys for the lifetime of memories...

I went to the keys for July 4th to go on a deep-sea fishing charter with Ultra grand slam. When we booked the reservation, we were told that it was very family-oriented, considering we have a 5 and 3-year-old. My husband and I brought my mother, who is 65, and had to be isolated inside the cabin since both captain and mate are heavy smokers.

The boat is in deplorable condition, and it just felt filthy and nasty inside. Also, another thing that bothered us was that they have no technology to find fish. We were driving around for 2 hours plus to come back empty Handed. We DID NOT CATCH one single fish.

It was a miserable experience and would not advise anyone to Charter with...

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 days out with Captain Magnus and First Mate Brandi. We were told that September is a harder time for catching fish🐟 . However, we gave it a try and 1st day manage to catch a 43lb Wahoo and 23lb Mutton Snapper along with a few barracuda. 2nd day out we caught 4 barracuda, a shark and a Sailfish, a Yellowtail Snapper, a Bonita and a Black Tuna. It was hot both days but the hospitality and knowledge of the waters and gear we made wonderful memories all thanks to Captain Magnus and awesome First Mate Brandi. Can't wait for our next trip to the Keys. Will definitely book again the Ultra Grand Slam with Captain...

Captain Magnus is simply the best. You can’t beat the boat, the scenery, or the action. The captain and his first mate Mike put on a clinic and got us right on the fish. We were lucky enough to be heading in during the start of one of the legendary Key West sunsets and it was a scene from a movie. After all said and done and we were back to the docks Captain Magnus filet’d the black fin tuna we caught and gave us a recommendation of an amazing restaurant that would prepare it for us. Highly recommended. Thank you for everything!

I have fished a lot of charters but this one was my favorite. Even when boats were reporting slow fishing, Magnus got us to the honey hole then BAM! My son was stoked with all of the action. We also loved hanging out offshore with Magnus… he’s a cool & collected fella and we felt quite safe and the gear was stellar. He does everything he can to get a fish on. We kept one for the BBQ. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
