First of all, if you donât do something, you shouldnât say you do on your website. In their case, donât say you offer walk-ins for consignment if you donât.
If you know, your website says you allow walk-ins then say hello and be respectful to the walk-in. Also probably best to not be disrespectful towards the owner of the shop when youâre having a conversation with a customer.
Your website also says nothing about a three item minimum. I probably wouldnât have driven all the way up here if I knew that was the case because I knew that there were things you probably wouldnât like.

I really wanted to love this shop. The aesthetic is great and they carry beautiful high-end pieces. But my experience as a customer was disappointing. I wasnât greeted when I walked in, and when I asked if they carried larger sizes, I was told, âWe do. Theyâre just mixed in.â I asked how the store was organized so I could find my size, and the reply was simply, âNo, theyâre just mixed in.â No effort to help. No follow-up. Just indifference.
As a plus-size woman, this felt incredibly dismissive. Shopping should be enjoyable, not uncomfortable. For a boutique selling $200+ bags, a basic level of customer service including acknowledging customers and offering assistance shouldnât be too much to ask.
