Main Beach Outlet — Local services in Laguna Beach

Not sure if this was the shop owner but I’m assuming it was. Either way this woman was incredibly rude. We were inside the shop for a total of 3 min max and left completely insulted. We’re in from Texas wrapping up 2 days at Disney. We just had lunch a block over and have a 3 year old daughter who asked to go see the water. Not prepared we stopped to grab a suit for her. My husband asked if there were toddler suits the woman there seemed busy even though we were the only people in the store and told him back left corner and walked the opposite direction. I went to the back and immediately grabbed two sizes and asked if she knew what a xxs and xs was in reference to age. Like does xxs mean 2-4? Or 0-2? They both looked similar and I thought she might know. You would have thought I asked her to solve a mathematical equation with attitude she gave. Her response “oh gosh, I have no clue. I mean some kids look like they’re 5 when they’re not” and walked away. Umm ok thanks. Not exactly what I was asking but clearly she didn’t want to help. Then she immediately looked at my daughter holding two stuffed mermaid dolls and asked us to take them away. She said she didn’t want her damaging them. My husband and I grabbed them quickly from her because as we both felt how upset she was and that set my three year old off. Immediately my daughter started screaming and crying and the looks this woman gave us were so insulting!! Rolling her eyes and breathing hard. It was a mess. I put the items on the counter and we walked out. We were in the store no less than 3 min and clearly this woman never wanted us in the store...

You just earned yourself another 1 star review. The response below from our negative experience is so condescending and unprofessional. Which pretty much sums up our experience and is a true testament to this woman’s character. If you’re truly not the owner then I hope the owner takes the time to review the cameras. We were in the store for a few minutes, not 15-20. That’s a lie. Also, if you don’t want anyone to touch items in the store then don’t have them on display. Who’s to say we weren’t going to buy one? Also, there should be no reason an employee makes faces and roll her eyes while a child (not an adult) is crying. She’s three, what’s your excuse for bad behavior? LOVE this store. The gal who helped me was incredibly sweet! I bought a two piece sweat outfit, and it’s such nice quality. The size I needed was not on the floor, and she went up in the loft area and grabbed me my size. The customer service was all around fabulous. I will be back, but I highly recommend this store.
