I purchased a couch from them a week before thanksgiving. Okay, so they tell me it will be a 6 to 8 week wait. Cool, well it's now January and I keep having to ask and call them about updates to my order. About 2 months after they said it would arrive at their warehouse. I'm not upset that it is taking longer. I'm upset that I paid in full and have to CALL them for updates. There was no communication and when I asked for a partial refund then and only then did someone reach out next day about having the item scheduled for delivery. They said it would be at the warehouse on Jan 6th so I wait 3 days to see if for once they'd call me back... Wait the days and no call. So I go to their website and ask for a in store credit and low and behold I finally get a call the next day. It shouldn't have to be like this especially since a 750 dollar purchase for a first time customer is a lot of money to say "hey I want to trust you to do your job." I'm considering never purchasing from Bel again. I purposely bought it a month before Christmas because I was having family over... they had nowhere to sit or sleep. This is my first apartment so all the furniture I really have is a folding chair and my twin mattress... my tv used to sit on cardboard boxes until I got a good deal on Facebook Marketplace. So I was depending on Bel to be honest and to delivery it in the time-frame they had stated. But hey silly me for thinking they would at least reach out and let me know if there would be a delay. I purchased it on the 16th of September I'll finally get it on the 17th of January, if there are no further delays. And again, I wouldn't be so upset if the communication was there. Because it's false advertising to be like oh 6 to 8 weeks and nobody calls me to tell tell me it's gonna be longer.
Review update: I finally got the couch. But not before: They promised to delivery it free of charge, and then didn't write it in their notes. So I have to show them the audio recording so they honor their word when someone else reached out to discuss redelivery (even they promised to do Feb the 1st already). They say it'll be the 1st. Then I have answer a call to confirm the 1st. The 1st comes around and no call, and no couch. I give them until 12pm then I have to email them again to reach out to me "or else". And I don't like having to get like that because I'm a very chill person, but at this point even my patience is running out. They finally call again, and they say,"The truck broke down, and it took another day for it to be delivered. A Sunday, today the 2nd. Now I don't the blame the delivery guys and even gave them coconut water. But Bel Furniture over all has been one thing after another. Jackie not putting in the notes to have a courtesy complimentary redelivery for the 1st. Which okay human error, right? But communication is so important. To not call to say the truck broke down until I bugged them to do so is kinda unacceptable.
I'm never going to purchase anything from them again. And when I say stuff like that, I mean it, and I know that bell furniture is affiliated with ashley furniture, so I'm also never going to purchase anything from Ashley. Listen, people have to vote with their feet and with their cash nowadays. Don't give people money that don't deserve it.
Now I'm not nick picky about it, but the drivers did leave trash around my home and just left it there. I picked it up and thought nothing of it. Since they set up the couch super fast and were working hard to deliver more items. But I know not everyone is as chill as I am, so I thought I should mention it if anyone wanted to know.
But they delivered it promptly and got it up the stairs no problem so I'm happy with the job they did. They're...
Read moreHorrible customer service and not honest staff. The manager and assistant manager are rude and unprofessional. Customer service is not a priority with them. We paid for a chair in full plus Inaurance a week ago. We were told by the Manager it was 99% positive it would arrive on time. When we called today to verify we could pick it up we were told 3 different stories. Assistant manager said it never made it on the delivery truck. Then told they sold out and there weren’t any left. Then after that we were told the chair on the floor was ripped and could not be sold. At this point the lies make no sense. We didn’t purchase a chair on the floor. We purchased a new chair from the warehouse that was being delivered yesterday. I asked both managers why we were not contacted immediately when they knew the chair was ripped yesterday. We would have never known if we didn’t call. This is unacceptable. When I asked the manager if she was going to offer a discount or how she was going to make this right she rudely said no we will not offer a discount. We will offer a refund or we can choose another chair. She had no concerns on making it right. She said the chairs are affordable and no discount will be offered. How unprofessional that comment alone was. She didn’t have a care in the world that we were making a long drive for something that wasn’t there nor did she even offer free shopping if we chose another chair. She also didn’t care about losing business. When we reached out to corporate they told us the chair was delivered yesterday. They had no record to verify what the manager and assistant manager stated. Sounds like they sold a chair that was already sold. Very dishonest. They had no problem taking full payment a week ago plus insurance and guaranteed the chair. It’s simple. Offer a small gift card, free delivery, or discount to make it right. Something!! Now my friend won’t have her chair in time for her surgery and they had no care in the world. Just rude ladies. DO NOT GIVE THEM BUSINESS. THEY ARE DISHONEST and need training in customer service. Customers like us keep them open! Guess they forgot we are the reason they have jobs. Customers. We will be reporting this...
Read moreI went into the store on Saturday and chose the items I wanted. I was informed the date of delivery would be on the following Thursday. I received a call informing me the delivery time would be 3-7pm. The delivery driver made it to deliver around 7:25pm. Upon arrival the driver informed me that he did not have one of the items I had ordered due to them being out of stock, and he did not know when or if they would get anymore, and I needed to reach out to the store. I told the drivers I would take some of the items, excluding what was the “set items”I then called the Lake Jackson store to speak with them to get an understanding of how the process would work if I took possession of the order and the item which was part of a set was unable to be restocked. Angel the Assistant Manger, informed me he did not know if I would be charged for all of the items even if I did not receive the out of stock item, nor was he able to inform me of how the process would work if the bed was out of stock and was not able to be restocked, would I be left with possibly having mismatched furniture, or if they would be able to provide me with a matching set. Angel had no answers for myself or the contract delivery drivers. He informed me that I would need to contact the corporate office the next day, as they were closed. When I asked why no one from the Lake Jackson location called to inform me that one item of the set was not in stock, again Angel had no answer. His tone was not conducive to providing a great customer experience, nor was he solution driven. I feel as if I had no other choice but to send the complete order back since I was not provided any answers nor a solution! I will update to let you know...
