Firehouse Subs Lake Jackson Commons — Restaurant in Lake Jackson

I have never left a negative review but there’s always a time and a place and today is it. I walked in to the well lit, unlocked shop, hoping to have a delicious sub. By my watch it was 1030, surely it was open because the door was unlocked. When I walked in, I was rudely greeted by a young Asian male, sitting eating his food. As if to ask me what I’m doing that they don’t open for 3 more minutes. 3. I informed him I was starving (I just biked 40+ miles) instead of saying I will be with you in a moment, I could have waited the three minutes, his snarky reply was, “why do you think I’m eating?” I don’t know who you are, but I’m assuming you’re eating because you’re hungry. Don’t be rude to customers. It’s not attractive. It’s not good business and it’s definitely not southern hospitality. I guess there’s always time for a first. Way to ruin something special in Lake Jackson. I’ll also ensure to tell everyone, not to eat there and I’m sure they will tell two people and they will tell two people…I...

Placed an order on line for a curbside pickup with a designated time as well as the vehicle description [order# 490495) at Lake Jackson location. We arrived 5 mins prior to our pick up time and parked in a spot that was visible from the store. Our pick up time passed and we waited an additional 6 minutes. My husband finally went in and found the order sitting on the counter. When he asked why they had not brought the order out he was given the excuse that they had "got to busy"...there was only one other customer who was waiting on an order. Why offer curbside if it isn't going to be honored? The sandwiches were cold-dont know how they were sitting on the counter. Probably...

Good food and friendly service. If they ask you if you want something in your sub, be sure to ask, it may cost extra.

I bought the streak and cheese, had grilled onions and other veggies. Seemed like a version of a Philly Cheese Steak. Asked me if I wanted mushrooms and I said yes.

Later I looked at my receipt and saw the price of muy sub was listed as $.75 higher than it was posted on the menu.

They told me it was because of the mushrooms. Not concerned about the 75 cents, but just want to let everyone know because you may be paying more than expected. Bad for those on a budget. That and, $.75 for one...
